**BDM Phosphorus Derivatives NAM**
+ This job will support strategic and critical growth for the Phosphorus Specialties group in Syensqo. This group provides specialty products for areas including, but not limited to petrochemical catalysis, life sciences, agro, pharmaceutical and electronics
+ Accelerate profitable growth by turning global strategic priorities into tangible commercial outcomes. This role creates value primarily through technical validation, customer performance testing, and translating technical capabilities into customer impact, which will translate into commercial activities. Value is created through identification and shaping of new business opportunities, expanding penetration in targeted segments (Catalysis, Life Sciences, Electronics).
+ Play a direct role in implementing NPI that will support the Value Creation Plan (VCP) in the region and ensure commercial execution of growth plans. The role contributes to profitable growth by steering opportunity pipe development (new opportunities + opportunity progression).

1. Create and accelerate new growth opportunities
+ The BDM ensures consistent identification, prioritization, and advancement of high-value opportunities across target markets and applications (Catalysis, Life Sciences, Electronics, etc.). Conversion of customer needs to real opportunities and supporting through the commercialization process is critical.
+ Building and managing a robust opportunity pipeline across short-, mid-, and long-term horizons
+ For some new customers, the BDM may directly manage the relationship during early development stages.
2. Turn market and application insights into growth actions
+ The role transforms regional market intelligence - customer needs, competitive moves, technology shifts - into concrete growth initiatives. The BDM strengthens segmentation, targeting, and prioritization by ensuring insights are structured, actionable, and connected to global strategy.
+ BDMs provide critical customer performance feedback to labs and Technical Service, as customers often cannot evaluate performance themselves.
3. Localize and operationalize global marketing strategy
+ Act as the regional anchor for global marketing, ensuring that value propositions, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies are adapted to regional realities.
+ Note: This is less commercial and more about ensuring technical capabilities are positioned accurately and realistically for customer needs.
4. Build customer credibility and co-develop solutions
+ Through deep engagement with key customers, OEMs, and influencers, the BDM uncovers unmet needs and co-creates differentiated solutions in relevant fields.
+ The BDM engages with local key customers, local OEMs, and influencers to identify unmet needs and co-develop solutions.
+ Note: BDMs are highly technical and often provoke formulation adjustments, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution for existing customers.
5. Lead cross-functional execution to bring opportunities to life
+ Ensures that promising opportunities move from concept to execution by coordinating across R&D, supply chain, operations, regulatory and commercial teams.
+ This includes ensuring feasibility and timely execution of opportunities and aligning cross-functional teams around customer expectations and project requirements.
**You will bring:**
+ Experience in catalysis and/or phosphorus chemistry would be an asset. Additionally experience working in research functions would be viewed as beneficial.
+ Education - Masters in Science minimum, Ph.D. Preferred
+ Project management experience for NPI would be viewed as beneficial

**You will get:**
+ The Canadian annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: $105,000 to $131,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, such as skills, experience, qualifications, etc. and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives

Act as commercial point of contact for the business cylinder fleet manager for Americas and where applicable in support cylinder management needs in ROW.
+ Regulatory- support all global fumigation registration and regulatory compliance requirements that mandate the work to be done in Canada by a Canadian employee. This includes all request for document notarization and certification by Canadian authorities or consultants
**Key Accountabilities**
+ Achieve or Exceed Budget figures (revenue, contribution margin, ebitda, T&E, cash, forecast accuracy etc)
+ Develop a thorough understanding of growth opportunities and competitive position in the market and support the development of a medium and long term strategic plans developed by the regional BD manager
+ Operate in adherence at all times within all Syensqo policies and procedures
**Americas Territory**
+ Geography responsibility will extend to support accounts in all of the Americas. Focus area will be Canada and USA given the complex nature of our LATAM partner model which is managed by the Regional BD
+ Maintain and develop the business with key partners/end users in the Americas
+ Maintain/develop strong relationships with partner contacts at various levels
+ Potential visit key customers to support operations and develop opportunities
+ Engage the greater Syensqo support teams to quickly solve customer complaints
+ Propose commercial actions to win more share at existing accounts
+ Support Supply Chain team to continuously improve cylinder management.
+ Manage the business with distributors and fumigation service providers.
Note the role will also involve interaction with and support of a large list of end users, often including users who perform in house fumigation. Relevant distributors will co-support in these efforts.
Note the distributors used in fumigation are not standard/typical chemical distributors. There are specialized companies with focused expertise in the niche market of fumigation. As such they also represent alternative fumigants (ie competitive products). Syensqo's commercial model's success hinged on our small but experienced regional teams ability to work with all players in the value chain. This role will be an integral part of that model and will require the ability to contribute to a number of different non standard roles and responsibilities to support this business.
**Safety Responsbilities:**
+ Demonstrate proficiency in Syensqo Fumigant Product Stewardship Program- technical and legal aspects of the safe and effective use of Phosphine gas formulations for post harvest fumigation
+ Understand and follow key Syensqo safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to the following:
+ Emergency Response / Evacuation Guidelines
+ Visitor Safety Policy
+ Housekeeping
+ Demonstrate a commitment to safety for self, fellow employees and customers

Syensqo is seeking a Process Control Engineer/specialist to provide ongoing support for our DCS-controlled chemical manufacturing facility in Niagara Falls, Canada. This on-site role is responsible for the administration, programming, and maintenance of Emerson Delta V® and Moore APACS systems in a mixed-mode (batch and continuous) operation.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to leverage control system technologies for enhanced process safety and operational efficiency.
The Process Control Engineer/specilist is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and supporting process control logic within the batch chemical manufacturing facility.
**We Count on you to:**
+ Provide ongoing support for the installed Emerson Delta V system and manage future expansions.
+ Schedule and oversee system maintenance activities performed by contractors.
+ Assign and maintain documentation for I/O connections and system interfaces.
+ Ensure proper system backups and maintain all related documentation.
+ Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations teams to troubleshoot issues identified by Delta V.
+ Learn and understand current process executions, propose automation opportunities, and lead the implementation and start-up of new recipes-including those required for new product introductions.
+ Work with Operations Engineers to review, modify, and optimize existing sequential programming (recipes) to improve yield, reduce cycle time, and minimize interruptions or program stalls.
+ Lead process control improvement projects, managing schedules, budgets, testing (Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT)), start-up activities, and all required documentation and approvals.
+ Coordinate the integration of additional process control elements into the Delta V platform.
+ Assist in the administration and support of the site's OSI/PI historian system.

As a Global Reliability Engineer, your primary focus is to build, implement, and continuously improve Mechanical Integrity programs for one or several manufacturing sites, with emphasis on early defect detection and defect elimination across piping systems, rotating equipment, and fixed vessels. + Develop, implement, and manage the site Mechanical Integrity program for piping systems and related accessories (piping, valves, expansion joints, insulation joints, PSVs, hoses, steam traps, rupture discs, etc.).
+ Develop, implement, and manage the mechanical integrity program for static equipment (pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, boilers, etc.), including inspection planning, report review, and repair scope definition.
+ Lead and fulfill TSSA / CSA B51 requirements, including compliance for pressure piping repairs.
+ Review and take action on technical documentation including welding procedures, NDT reports, and piping specifications.
+ Support the Maintenance team with repair planning for critical equipment failures.
+ Actively participate in the site OEE program, including maintaining and improving the equipment Bad Actors list.
+ Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for major equipment failures and manage closure of improvement actions.
+ Perform equipment criticality analysis and ensure adequate spare parts strategies for critical assets.
+ Interpret reliability data and define failure mitigation / reliability improvement plans.
+ Engage in and/or manage capital projects to ensure proper equipment selection, installation quality, and long-term reliability.

+ Supervise and manage outside contractors (both design and field construction), as necessary, to completeproject work meeting all site safety requirements.
+ Follow Site Management of Change (MOC) procedures, conduct appropriate safety reviews during theengineering definition, interlock and alarm design, and testing phases as required.
+ Responsible for the development of future process control, electrical and automation projects through astage-gate process including project evaluation, assessment, definition, design, execution and start-up.
+ Prepares or reviews Preventative Maintenance work plans for Instrument & Control systems.
You will bring:
+ Bachelor's or master's degree in chemical, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in a chemical plant environment
+ PENG certified or registered with PEO and acquiring the PENG within six months
+ Demonstrated knowledge and experience with process control systems (such as Emerson DeltaV andSiemens APACS), digital instrumentation systems, and safety interlock systems, including theirdesign, configuration, and start-up.
