Full Job Description

Our Clients' Regulatory Business Initiatives Teams is looking to add two Business Analysts to their growing LATAM Portfolio assisting key stakeholders in Chile, Peru as well as Colombia from T+2 to T+1. This was triggered when the Nuam Exchange was mandated to move its Equity Operations (Fixed Income, Repo as well) in these essential markets with a Go-Live date of Q2 2025. You will be part of a Project Team establishing the initial Governance Structure that will work in the Trading, Communication as well as Metrics streams.


Daily Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders from nuam exchange, market participants, regulators, and internal teams to gather requirements related to the transition from T+2 to T+1 settlement cycles
  • Conduct thorough analysis to understand the impacts of the settlement cycle change on infrastructure, participants, clients, compliance, and operational processes. Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies
  • Map out current settlement processes and identify areas that need adjustment or enhancement to accommodate the T+1 settlement cycle. Work with stakeholders to design and document new processes
  • Ensure that all regulatory requirements related to the settlement cycle transition are identified, understood, and addressed. Collaborate with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and ensure compliance
  • Coordinate with technology teams to assess and implement changes to systems, platforms, and interfaces to support the T+1 settlement cycle. Ensure seamless integration and functionality
  • Develop test plans, scenarios, and scripts to validate the effectiveness and accuracy of changes implemented for the T+1 settlement cycle. Coordinate testing efforts with internal and external teams
  • Provide training and support to internal teams, market participants, and clients on new processes, systems, and procedures associated with the T+1 settlement cycle. Address inquiries and facilitate smooth transition
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with the settlement cycle transition and develop risk mitigation strategies. Monitor risks throughout the transition period and escalate issues as needed
  • Maintain detailed documentation of requirements, processes, changes, test results, and regulatory approvals related to the settlement cycle transition. Generate reports and updates for stakeholders and management
  • Must Haves:

    • Bilingual in Spanish – Written/Verbal
    • T+2, T+1, Post Trade, Settlements background in the Capital Markets is highly preferred. That being said having project focused capital markets experience could work as a secondary
