Full Job Description

Position Job Title : Course Developer – Business Statistics

Job Type: Contractual



Primary Purpose

The Course Developer will be responsible for developing high-quality courses collaborating with the Associate Dean and instructional designers for online, hybrid, and traditional classroom settings. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert and will possess a strong understanding of pedagogical principles, instructional design methodologies, and emerging technologies to enhance student learning experiences.


Specific Responsibilities

  • with the Associate Dean to assess learning objectives, course content, and instructional materials for new courses.
  • and develop engaging and interactive course materials, including lectures, presentations, multimedia resources, assessments, and learning activities.
  • instructional design principles and best practices to ensure courses meet quality standards, accessibility guidelines, and student learning outcomes.
  • innovative instructional strategies, educational technologies, and multimedia tools to enhance student engagement and promote active learning.
  • regular reviews and updates of course content based on feedback, and emerging trends in the field.
  • collaboratively with instructional designers, multimedia specialists to integrate diverse perspectives and expertise into course development.



Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, PhD preferred, with a specialisation in Business Statistics,
  • 3 years of experience in online course development, the instructional design process, or curriculum design in a higher education setting.
  • Expertise in adult learning theories and assessment strategies.
  • Experience with course development tools, learning management systems (e.g., Brightspace, Canvas, Blackboard).
  • Experience with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, AODA) and experience designing inclusive learning environments.
  • Knowledge of copyright and intellectual property issues related to educational materials and online content
