Full Job Description

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

We are looking for a full-time Immigration Consultant (RCIC) having the following attributes:

  • Tech savvy – medium knowledge of Microsoft Office products like Word and Excel, cloud storage like Google Drive, digital sign tools
  • Should know tools that aid in compressing, organizing, merging, splitting of PDFs
  • Should know keyboard shortcuts
  • Good customer service skills – should know how to take up and handle calls/deal with situation
  • Be confident with the clients when responding to calls/emails
  • Be an initiative taker
  • Have analytical skills - be curious and know how to troubleshoot and find the source of information and/or the solution, should know how/where to find the immigration regulation, public policies and ministerial instructions, research case law using database
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written/oral English communication, able to write high quality submission letters and responses to PFLs
  • Have common sense
  • Passionate about the role

  • Have the drive to perform repetitive tasks


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

  • A member in good standing with CICC
  • Have a bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of ACTIVE work experience in dealing with LMIA , PR and temporary applications
  • As most of our clients are of Punjabi origin, so knowledge of the Punjabi language is necessary.
  • Pass a skills-based test as part of the interview process


POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Monitoring application deadlines and completing assigned work within the appropriate timeframes.
  • Using sound judgement in assessing client risk and escalating potential issues to senior management in a timely manner.
  • Taking care to consider alternatives and delivering appropriate decisions with minimal senior management involvement.
  • Monitoring visa expiry dates and alerting the client appropriately.
  • Ensuring that the appropriate client records are established and maintained, and that key correspondence and documentation is saved into the CRM.
  • Working with professionalism, honesty and integrity maintaining confidentiality at all times and to model the company values.
  • Ensuring the client receives appropriate news updates and alerts.


JOB DUTIES:

  • Carrying out volume immigration casework for Canada, including case initiation, case assessment, provision of advice on applicable rules and procedures, case preparation and submission, monitoring progress and follow up on completion.
  • Acts as dedicated point of contact to clients, providing highly personalized services that meet client needs.
  • Listens intently to the client's needs to ensure that these needs are met and anticipates customer needs, offering pro-active advice. Remaining up-dated on industry events/circumstances that may be relevant to the client.
  • Communicating regularly with clients to build a strong relationship while focusing on business needs and ensuring that client service review meetings are held regularly, with formal agendas and presentations
  • Effectively manages time prioritizing, identify and addressing critical tasks, while remaining flexible to changing priorities.
  • Using exceptional organizational skills to meet or exceed customer expectations (including where SLAs are in place). Responding to email and telephone enquiries in a timely manner and ensuring that advice is comprehensive and accurate, managing expectations where needed and escalating issues promptly and appropriately.
  • Utilizing resources and researches complex cases/scenarios.
  • Recommending improvements in work procedures, policies or systems in area of assigned responsibility.


Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Pay: Up to $26.00 per hour


Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
