What does an Industrial Security Guard in Fort McMurray do?

• Manage access as well as access cards through the computer system.
• Camera surveillance for access/egress points of people, material, and equipment.
• Greet customers and register visitors as needed.
• Act as a first responder in the event of a crisis or emergency
• Perimeter patrols, and searches of camps, lay-down areas, storage facilities and Personal belonging including Vehicles, Bags etc.
• Must be able to work in areas that have exposure to height, noise and dusty environment including seasonal exposure to extreme cold/heat.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements:
• Standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended period.
• Heavy lifting up to fifty (50) lbs
• Ability to understand and follow all site policy and procedures.

Qualifications to become an Indsutrial Security Guard in Fort McMurray

• Experience in Industrial Oil and Gas setting environment
• Full class 5 Advanced drivers license
• Clean Driver ‘s abstract 5 years
• Valid Alberta Security License
• Standard First aid Level ‘C’
• BSO/CSTS/ OSSA/ CSO safety tickets
• Good Communication skills
• The site requires a N95 fit test, which requires candidates to be clean shaven (no facial hair).
• D & A Testing / Standard basic panel 5 – test within 30 days (Sure Hire / Canada Research Labs)
• Good knowledge of computer and surveillance systems
• Gardaworld Orientation/ Site specific Orientation
• Be eligible to work in Canada
