Position Summary:

ITD is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer responsible for design work for our Chassis and Van products


Responsibilities and Duties:

·       Have outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization, including shop floor and management.

·       Work in a highly collaborative manner with others to pursue department and company goals.

·       Be organized with a strong attention to detail; allocates time efficiently.

·       Demonstrate ability to research, analyze and effectively solve routine problems.

·      Be capable of simultaneously supporting several projects at varying degrees of completion.

·       Support to Quality control and warranty documentation and other plant related requirements.

·      Design support of new products and improvements to existing ones. This includes evaluating products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability and ensuring project completion. Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner.

·       Will uses good judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.


Qualifications:

·       General knowledge of engineering standards, ANSI/ASME Code.

·      Demonstrated computer proficiency in all business-related software packages (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel),

·       Demonstrated knowledge in use of Solidworks, Studio 3D Max, 2D CAD for use in design.

·       General knowledge of fabrication and assembly of mechanical structures, to include a working knowledge of welding.

·       Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent work experience or training/education, however attained. Advanced education/experience related to engineering preferred. Must have a strong background in mathematics.

·      Minimum 3 years of design drafting experience, to include demonstrated proficiency of multiple disciplines mechanical, structural, electrical; Experience with 3-D design preferred.
