National Account Manager


Our client is a bonded carrier certified with both border agencies for secure freight transportation. They operate as an asset-based carrier with terminals in various locations. Their capabilities include the safe transport of temperature-sensitive products to destinations in Western Canada and Western USA. As a National Account Manager you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and fostering strategic partnerships within the 3PL logistics sector. This position requires a dynamic and results-driven professional with a proven track record of successfully managing national accounts, understanding the intricacies of logistics, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at national accounts.
  • Understand the unique needs and challenges of each account and align logistics solutions.
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and develop strategies to drive revenue.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and engaging potential clients.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling proposals and presentations that address client needs and differentiate 3PL services.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall growth of the business.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans for national account management.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Provide insights to enhance service offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Lead contract negotiations with national accounts
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate with operations, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Serve as a liaison between the client and internal departments to address any issues and optimize logistics processes.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of national account management strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Logistics, or a related field;
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the 3PL industry.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to identify and capitalize on market trends.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
