DMC Recruitment Group has been retained by Metro Testing + Engineering, a recognized leader in materials testing and engineering services across Western Canada, to assist in finding their next Corporate Health & Safety Advisor who also possesses Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) capabilities.
This role is ideal for a health and safety leader who knows how to go beyond compliance and build a culture. You’re not just ticking boxes, you’re shaping the standards and making safety an active part of how a business runs.

What You’ll Do
- Deliver, develop, and refine H&S and radiation safety programs

- Train staff, maintain certification records, and oversee learning systems (DATS LMS)
- Serve as Radiation Safety Officer and liaise with CNSC and other regulatory bodies
- Support COR certification efforts and lead safety audits across branches
- Monitor trends and proactively reduce risk
- 5+ years in H&S roles, ideally within engineering, testing, or construction
- Radiation Safety Officer (RSO-1) certification or experience, with a willingness to earn it
- Solid knowledge of WorkSafeBC and WCB Alberta regulations
- BCCSA COR Auditor designation strongly preferred
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), ISNet, and ComplyWorks
- OFA Level III and CSO certifications are definite assets
- Strong people skills, writing ability, and the drive to lead from the front
Metro Testing is a leader in engineering and materials testing, but what sets them apart is their commitment to operational excellence, integrity, and safety. They’re growing, and this role is critical to that growth.
If you're a hands-on, solutions-focused safety leader ready to make your mark, this could be your next big step.
