Job Description
Along with the Directors of BD, the MBD will be primarily responsible for generating new business opportunities through a mix of prospecting/cold outreach/lead-generation in support of Cytel's new business acquisition priorities. The MBD will develop and foster relationships with key customer executives and decision-makers, acquire an intimate understanding of the customer's business, and create new business opportunities for Cytel by identifying emerging customer needs and formulating the appropriate solutions. The MBD will also be responsible for end-to-end sales selling our Software solutions to accounts within an assigned segment and territory. Over time, successful MBDs may develop additional responsibilities for account development and maintenance in an Outside Sales capacity.
+ Learn and understand Cytel products, services, pricing and markets. Keep current with internal Cytel plans and developments. Remain current on relevant industry and specialty topics as needed to perform other duties at the highest possible level.
+ Identify target opportunities and customers. Develop prospecting and outreach strategies in support of Cytel business initiatives to drive new business opportunities into the pipeline.
+ Provide lead generation and administrative support (processing CDAs, MSA, contracts, etc) in support of all sales activities for the targeted territory, including creating and maintaining up-to-date company files, electronic records including contacts, quotes and forecast records in Salesforce.com.
+ Provide market and customer feedback for product development & marketing. Attend and support relevant industry conferences and events.
+ Represent the product, services and support needs of the customer base and marketplace to the appropriate line organizations and work closely with marketing and product development to ensure tight alignment with product planning and the development of the product roadmap. This includes presenting opportunities for evaluation that could expand the company's market and product reach.
+ Schedule Cytel personnel in support of business development activities as needed
+ Provide strategic support in order to grow existing book of business within select key accounts.
+ Sole support of new business development/sales activities within select business units.
**Minimum Work Requirements:**
+ Experience in scientific/clinical research preferred.
+ 1-2 years of sales-related experience (lead generation, inside sales, proposals, sales operations, client success, etc.) in the biopharmaceutical industry.
+ Experience managing complex situations in global companies with strategic planning and execution.
+ Experience working in a complex business environment with minimal day-to-day oversight.
**Skills:**
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional people skills and understanding of organizational dynamics. Strong business acumen required.
+ Self-motivated and enterprising with the flexibility to work across functional boundaries as required.

# Major Responsibilities:
+ Prepares and monitors market profiles, customer profiles, and business development activity reports for the Canadian market
+ Performs research on Canadian customers and competitors and presents findings to business development colleagues and business line general management
+ Maintains records of prospective projects and competitor information across Canada's transit, rail, and infrastructure pipeline

Overview:
The Operations Coordinator supports and coordinates administrative support, Newstar support and Buildpro/Supplypro scheduling for Construction and Production teams across the Alberta market. Pre-construction actions, construction prep and scheduling is completed by The Operations Coordinator or indirectly through training and coaching of team members (Admin & Construction). Through daily use of Brookfield's operational IT systems the Operations Coordinator is expected to identify opportunities for improvement in system and related department process.
The role involves liaising between office teams and construction site teams & trade partners. General responsibilities also include minor coordination of permits, Alberta New Home Warranty, Enmax and ATCO applications, job releases and reporting on external operations functions.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Support & coordinate the transition of back office permits through to starts in the field.
+ Provide job start notifications to trade partners and site team members.
+ Complete weekly starts forecasts.
+ Coordinate Permit submissions.
+ Own document upload verification for Alberta.
+ Enter preconstruction forecast in Buildpro & Newstar.
