Job Description
We are currently hiring a Fitter Welders to join our team for all of our shifts. This role involves the layout and fitting of plate and structural steel fabrications in a busy, safety-first fabrication shop. You’ll work with high-grade materials, follow blueprints, and help produce quality components that support major industrial projects.
Pay: $27.00–$34.00 per hour (SHIFT PREMIUM APPLIES FOR AFTERNOONS ONLY)
Hours:
DAYS - Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM - (4 day Work Week) - 40 Hours Per Week
AFTERNOONS - Monday to Thursday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM - (4 day Work Week) - 40 Hours Per Week
AFTERNOONS - Monday to Wednesday, 4:30 PM – 5:00 AM (3 day Work Week) -36 hours per week
NOTE: WE DO NOT ROTATE SHIFTS. Let us know which shift you are applying for.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Read, interpret, and lay out work according to engineering drawings, bills of material, and work orders
- Fully understand blueprints, weld symbols, and bills of material
- Perform repairs and rework as needed to maintain customer tolerances
- Apply knowledge of metallurgy, steel shrink rates, and warping to ensure accurate fit-up
- Fit panels, boxes, cylinders, and transition pieces in both stainless and carbon steel
- Operate welding equipment safely and professionally as needed
- Fit/weld any assigned job, including working at heights or in confined spaces (training provided)
- Work with various metals as required
- Use overhead cranes, forklifts, ladders, and other equipment with proper training
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals
- Adhere to all safety protocols and shop procedures
