1. JOB OBJECTIVES
- Responsible for improving the performance, efficiency, and reliability of industrial equipment.
- Analyze operational data, identify performance losses, and implement technical and procedural solutions to maximize productivity while reducing costs and downtime.
- Support operations in day-to-day activities.
2. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Analyze machine performance (efficiency, speed, quality).
- Identify sources of losses (stoppages, slowdowns, defects).
- Implement continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Optimize equipment operating parameters.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and automation teams.
- Participate in the commissioning and improvement of new machines.

- Initiate and implement technical optimization solutions on the line.

- Develop equipment reliability programs tailored to the company’s needs.
- Follow up on any problematic situation or doubtful case and provide the solutions and interventions necessary for resolution.
- Suggest improvements to preventive maintenance tasks for equipment and systems.
- Carry out follow-ups with various suppliers as part of machine optimization efforts.
- Ensure proper filing and availability of technical documents for equipment and utilities.
- Participate in all actions that may lead to greater department efficiency.
- Perform any other related task deemed relevant within the scope of the position.
3. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT AND APTITUDES
- Degree in engineering or training in maintenance and reliability management, or equivalent training deemed relevant.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or production engineering.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with peers.
- Good judgment, autonomy, and initiative.
- Customer satisfaction oriented.
- Knowledge of the structures and manufacturing processes of sterile pharmaceutical products.

The Senior Electrical Engineer provides Maintenance and Engineering functional leadership for High and Low Voltage Electrical Assets to Alcoa's North American Operation’s Smelters, Ports and Carbon Plant. This position reports directly to the Regional Asset Management Hub Director, North America.
Main Responsibilities
Provide leadership in delivering improvements to all aspects of Alcoa’s Electrical equipment and systems via the transfer of best equipment, operating, engineering and maintenance practices
Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) technical support for Alcoa’s Electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimal asset availability to support continuous operations
Provide Electrical SME input to the Asset Management Capital annual and long-term planning process for Electrical equipment and systems and decarbonisation projects
Provide leadership and support for implementation of the Asset Management target state through the leadership of communities of Best Practice, setting objectives for these teams and leading problem solving/solution development activities to support the target state
Provide leadership and support in Electrical Safety policies and initiatives including High Voltage, Low Voltage, Arc Flash and Potroom DC systems.
Participate in the development of Reliability and Maintenance strategies for electrical equipment and systems with Reliability, Engineering and Maintenance Managers/Engineers within both the Asset Management functional groups and at each of Alcoa’s facilities
Work closely with Reliability and Engineering Systems functional teams to provide expert-level Maintenance and Engineering technical knowledge, skills and experience to support best practice application of these capabilities to all aspects of asset management - in particular for the management of high voltage assets across smelter switchyards and substations but also inclusive of low voltage
Conduct Electrical Asset Integrity Assessments as part of the Asset Management Electrical Systems SME team, working with locations to identify, classify and develop mitigation strategies and solutions to identified risks
Participate in the Asset Management engineering and maintenance help chain to provide problem solving and troubleshooting service to locations for critical events
Build relationships that deliver the support and engagement of plant Electrical teams in executing Maintenance and Engineering objectives.
Establish, maintain and manage strategic equipment supplier and engineering service provider relationships
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree: Electrical Engineering
Min 10 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer
Min 5 years’ experience in an Electrical Engineering Leadership role.
High Voltage experience (highly desirable);
Smelting engineering experience (highly desirable);
High level of written and verbal skills in English / French (highly desirable);
Post Grad Degree: Master’s in engineering, Management or related area (desirable).
Flexibility for travel to Locations and/or FATs when required up to 20-25%.

**Job Description**
AECOM Buildings + Place, is seeking a motivated and skilled **Senior Structural Engineer** to help lead buildings projects commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities, such as Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and Sewage Lift Stations) This position can be based out of the **Winnipeg** office with opportunities for hybrid work. Project assignments may include, although not limited to: Municipal, Commercial, Institutional projects, Justice, Education and Government.
**Major Responsibilities:**
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
+ Lead and contribute to the successful design, production, coordination and management of structural building designs
+ Independently perform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
+ Communicate effectively (both verbally and written) with clients and internal team members in the development of designs and preparation of technical specifications of structural building systems
+ Prepare structural analysis and calculation reports.
+ Coordinate with other business lines and engineering disciplines, project managers, and clients to ensure efficient project execution.
+ Conduct reviews to ensure that engineering deliverables (e.g., drawings, specifications, reports, calculations, analysis) comply with applicable regulations, standards, corporate procedures and sound engineering practices
+ Assist in organizing and maintaining structural design guidelines
+ Provide engineering support and supervision to EIT's, Technologists, Technicians and CAD/REVIT staff.
+ Review of shop drawings for structural adequacy and compliance with structural drawings
+ Carry out business development activities including client liaison, proposal preparation and promotional work
+ Prepare or assist in preparation of engineering fee estimates for bids and proposal on structural engineering.
+ Conduct site visits, inspections, and structural assessments to evaluate structure's conditions and provide recommendations.
+ Ensure project deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule expectations
+ Stay updated on codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure high-quality design solutions.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must meet the requirements below, at a very minimum:
+ Bachelor's degree in structural engineering and Six (6) years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Manitoba in good standing.
+ Holding security clearance or the ability to obtain secret level security clearance
+ Ability to recognize and adhere to established deadlines and schedules is a must.
+ Good written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency essential).
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 10+ years of experience in structural engineering after receiving P.Eng., including demonstrated leadership in design delivery.
+ Experience in IPD (Integrated Project Delivery)
+ Experience in structural design of industrial plants, commercial buildings, government facilities, municipal infrastructure, and transit stations.
+ Proficiency in 3D structural analysis, modeling, and design software including but not limited to ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, as well as other computer-aided design tools relevant to this role.
+ Proven expertise in applying all major structural design codes and standards, including in-depth knowledge of NBCC, MBC, and CSA S16, CSA A23.1, CSA A23.3, CSA S304, CSA O86, AISC 360, ACI 350, ACI 318, etc.
+ Ability to fit into a fast-paced team environment and/or work independently.
+ Self-motivated, detail oriented and multi-tasking
