Your Key Responsibilities
- Perform construction surveys using GNSS (GPS), electronic total station, and conventional survey equipment.
- Assist a crew chief in providing survey for topographic surveys, cadastral surveys and construction layout.
- Assist in transferring survey data to the proper folder locations.
- Communicate effectively with members of the team and follow standard procedures.
- Responsible for safe operation of tools and equipment.
- Assist in taking care of Company vehicle and Company issued survey equipment.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature as assigned.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- You possess technical and mathematical skills along with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a personal commitment and leadership in providing a safe working environment by promoting and maintaining a culture of safety by compliance with Stantec and client safety systems, policies, procedures, environmental requirements.
- Performing a variety of Oilsands related surveys and buried facility locating with minimal supervision.
- Conducting comprehensive topographic, legal, bathymetric, earthworks, civil construction (roads, corridors, piping, slopes, structures) as-built surveys.
- Plan for blast drill hole positions, shovel digging lines, ramp gradients and berm designs.
- Conduct 3DLS and aerial drone surveys of the mine site.
- Consult, collaborate and share survey data with engineering, QA/QC and contract personnel.
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps and reports of survey data to describe/certify work areas.
- Providing complete and accurate survey data, notes/sketches, and supporting information in accordance with a Data Quality Management System.
- Proficiency managing data with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or other survey related software is an asset.
- Effective communication with Project Manager as to progress updates, scope changes, HSSE reporting and other project impacts.
- Depending upon experience, this position may assist with field training, crew supervision, and/or provide crew coordination on larger projects.
- Performing routine survey functions associated with mining advancement.
- Assisting with special assignments related to mine optimization and productivity, grade control, inventory, shaft, and geotechnical projects.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to execute surveys in a safe, accurate, efficient, and detailed manner,
- Experience tracing buried facilities using Electromagnetic Locating techniques,
- Proficiency with 3D Laser Scanners, GPS, drones, total stations and Electromagnetic Locators. Working knowledge of Trimble GPS and Trimble Total Stations is an asset.
- A valid Vehicle Operator's License and clean driving record is required for this position.

Our Transportation practice has an immediate requirement for a Survey Technician / Technologist in either our Saskatoon or Regina offices. The role of a Survey Technician / Technologist is to work as a team member on roadways, bridge and culvert/hydraulic projects under the guidance of an Engineer. Your Key Responsibilities
- Work with safety as a top priority.
- Be able to perform site setup and localization.
- Perform topographic, construction and other surveys.
- Prepare survey drawings in Civil 3D (including cross sections and profiles) as asset.
- QA/QC of field data and drafted data.
- Construction layout staking (slope stakes, second grades).
- Perform quantity calculations.
Your Capabilities and Qualifications
- Field construction experience related to bridges, roads, hydraulic or other heavy civil engineering projects.
- Experience with Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways manuals, specifications and survey codes would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of survey and boundary calculations, geodetic coordinate systems and map projections.
- Working knowledge in field survey methods and calculations.
- Experienced in using Trimble survey equipment (preferred) including data collectors, GNSS rovers, robotic total stations and 3D scanners.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Excel spreadsheets is an asset
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively discuss project components with internal and external stakeholders is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and understanding of task assignment and schedule.
- Must be able to successfully work both collaboratively and independently.
- Must have a valid Driver's license.
Education and Experience
- Completion of a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years' working experience in transportation engineering fields.
- Accredited or eligible for accreditation with SASTT.

**Responsibilities**
+ Contributes to day-to-day layout and grading tasks
+ Helps monitor quality control in compliance with contract documents
+ Assists in managing surveying for project layout and conformance
+ Marks and labels survey points and record field data according to job specifications
+ Participates in creating and maintaining survey models
+ Understands coordinate systems, scale factors, design requirements and engineered forming systems
+ Assists in creating survey notes and recording field data
**Qu** **alifications**
+ Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment
+ Understanding basic surveying principles with a practical approach
+ Familiar with construction plans such as structural, architectural and shop drawings
+ Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)

Le superviseur de site sera appelé à coordonner les activités sur nos chantiers de construction ainsi qu'à superviser l'ensemble du personnel sur le chantier incluant celui de nos sous-traitants. Plus particulièrement, les responsabilités du superviseur de site sont les suivantes :

+ Être imputable vis-vis de l'application des règles et politiques de l'entreprise en matière de santé et sécurité pour tous les intervenants présents sur le chantier;
+ Se conformer aux différentes instructions et directives de travail, protocoles et procédures découlant de nos systèmes de contrôle qualité ainsi qu'aux autres politiques de l'entreprise;
+ Assurer et documenter la supervision des activités de construction sur le chantier;
+ Organiser et diriger les sous-traitants et fournisseurs dans l'exécution des travaux;Assurer la liaison avec les chargés de projets, les consultants et concepteurs ainsi qu'avec les membres de l'équipe interne et externe;
+ Résoudre de façon efficace les problématiques rencontrées au chantier;
+ Fournir des mises à jour sur les progrès et les tendances prévisionnelles des travaux de terrain aux chargés de projet;
**Les compétences qui vous démarquent**
+ Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC) en génie civil, minier ou autre formation technique équivalente.
+ De **5 à 7 ans d'expérience** dans un poste similaire en supervision de chantiers.
+ Expérience pertinente dans des projets miniers, de réhabilitation de sites, de démolition et/ou d'infrastructures.
+ Certification **ASP Construction** valide (obligatoire).
+ Solides compétences en leadership, en organisation et en gestion d'équipes terrain.
+ Excellentes aptitudes en communication orale et écrite.
+ **Disponibilité pour travailler en chantier, sur rotation, et se déplacer fréquemment partout au Québec.**
+ Permis de conduire valide;

Our Geospatial Services Team collaborates with Stantec's Water, Infrastructure, Environmental Services, Buildings, and Energy & Resources business operating units to provide a complete solution for our clients. Your Key Responsibilities
- Performing a variety of surveys and buried facility locating with minimal supervision.
- Conducting comprehensive topographic, legal, construction, bathymetric, drone and as-built surveys.
- Actively participate and promote Stantec's Health & Safety culture and awareness which includes identifying hazardous situations and applying safety procedures and company standards.
- Ensure safe operating and maintenance procedures are followed for company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Effective communication with Project Manager as to progress updates, scope changes, HSSE reporting and other project impacts.
- Supervise and mentor junior survey field crew.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Experience tracing buried facilities using Electromagnetic Locating techniques.
- Ability to execute surveys in an accurate, efficient, detailed and safe manner.
- Proficiency with GPS, Total stations and Electromagnetic Locators. Working knowledge of Trimble GPS and Trimble Total Stations is an asset.
- Advanced drone license is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- This position may require seasonal travel to various sites across western Canada, including Fort McMurray.
- Experience working in remote field environments.
- Physical ability to work in mountainous and forested terrain with the ability to lift/carry heavy equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
- Willingness to work in various environmental conditions with varied terrain, willingness to work in wildlife populated areas, and willingness to work in remote field areas for extended periods and varied hours.
Education and Experience
- Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of field survey experience.
- Required Certifications (must have or be able to complete the following): - Standard First Aid
- H2S Alive
- WHMIS
- CSTS 2020 (Construction Safety Training System)
- CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
- Line Locating Certification
- Valid Driver's License.

Stantec's has an opportunity for an Articling Pupil with an interest in land development, construction, and legal land matters to join our Alberta Geospatial practice. Under the supervision of an experienced Alberta Land Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to community building through municipal subdivision projects. To gain comprehensive field, office, and professional experience in the pursuit of obtaining your professional designation, you will assist the Principal with surveying activities while learning the ins and outs of legislation, legal requirements, and evidence assessment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a personal commitment and leadership in providing a safe working environment by promoting and maintaining a culture of safety by compliance with Stantec and client safety systems, policies, procedures, environmental requirements
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions conducting comprehensive legal, topographic, bathymetric, earthworks, civil construction (roads, corridors, piping, slopes, structures) as-built surveys
- Consult, collaborate and share survey data with engineering, QA/QC and contract personnel
- Prepare and maintain excellent field notes, sketches, maps and reports of survey data to describe/certify work areas
- Providing complete and accurate survey data, notes/sketches, and supporting information in accordance with a Data Quality Management System
- Proficiency managing data with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or other survey related software is an asset
- Engage with Articling Principal to develop essential core competencies (project management/costing, liaising with clients/municipalities/third-party agents, etc.)
- Completion of the Articling project reports and examinations within the timeframe established by the Alberta Land Surveyors' Association
- Uphold the professional standards and ethical practices of the ALSA
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to execute surveys in a safe, accurate, efficient, and detailed manner in an outdoor environment
- Ability to create and accurately maintain project documentation
- Proficiency with 3D Laser Scanners, GPS, drones, total stations and related equipment. Working knowledge of Trimble GPS and Trimble Total Stations is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- A valid Vehicle Operator's License and clean driving record is required for this position
