Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting the Surgical team during operative procedures by performing a variety of technical duties to primarily assist in responsibility for the preparation and maintenance of the surgical sterile field for the operative patient.
Essential Functions
+ Arrange and inventories sterile set-up for operation and passes items as needed to the surgical team.
+ Understand and apply the principles of asepsis. Establish and maintain sterile field and assure team maintains sterile environment.
+ Assist in preparation and moving of patients.
+ Cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes instrumentation. Assists with clean-up and room turnover.
+ Access computer information as needed, such as preference lists and digital images.
+ Participates in all safety initiatives. Adheres to programs such as SCIP and SCOAP quality initiatives.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
+ Preferred: Accredited Program of Surgical Technology or recognized course of training in surgical technology.
+ Required: A Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required by date of hire
+ Required: Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support Certification
+ Preferred: 1-year Surgical Technology work experience in a full-service OR
+ Required: Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs.

**Pay Range:**
- Locations Outside of Lower Mainland -- BC & Various locations in Ontario-$106,700.00 - $156,700.00 Annually

Your Opportunity
Stantec's Transportation team in Saskatchewan is growing and has an opening for an intermediate to senior level Civil Designer. In this role, you will work under the guidance of an Engineer, utilizing their knowledge and experience to contribute to a variety of Transportation projects ranging from conceptual design through to construction services. In addition, you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks which may include assisting with the development of conceptual and detailed engineered plans, and construction administration/support of structures and facilities such as bridges, railroads, roads, and other projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop grading and drainage design models using Civil 3D to assist in the development of 2D plans and profiles, cross-sections and earthwork volumes.
- Prepare preliminary and detail design engineering drawings for site grading, drainage, earthworks, underground conveyance systems, roads, ponds, containment, excavations etc.
- Perform civil quantities take-off / MTOs using Civil 3D program and spreadsheets.
- Perform vehicle turn or swept path analysis using AutoTURN software.
- Perform model checks and drawing design checks for others work as part of QA/QC procedure.
- Provide inputs to job-hour estimate, schedule and change orders.
- Attend model review, team meetings and client meetings, as required.
- Adhere to CAD standards and follow quality guidelines.
- Preform field work as required on a seasonal basis.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Proficiency using AutoCAD and Civil 3D Software. Previous experience with InRoads and other CAD software is an asset.
- Previous experience with Navisworks, BlueBeam, BIM 360/Projectwise is an asset.
- Foundational understanding of coordinate systems.
- Ability to read and understand plans, specifications and technical documentation.
- Understanding of civil engineering design concepts for grading, drainage, earthworks and roads.
- Excellent understanding of requirements and application of client CAD standards.
- General understanding of a project lifecycle including design and construction processes and requirements.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively discuss project components with internal and external stakeholders is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication, coordination, time management and organizational skills along with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments.
- Must be able to successfully work both collaboratively and independently.
- Some travel to project sites may be required from time to time.
- Valid driver's license
Education and Experience
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or relevant equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution
- 6-20+ years of relevant experience in engineering consulting or the construction industry, or the ability to demonstrate sufficient knowledge received from previous experience in a similar position. Previous experience supporting Transportation projects is considered an asset.
Position will be a combination of office and field work. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
