**Position Overview**
Directly reporting the Crew Foreman, the Flagger will be responsible for safely controlling the flow of traffic around various work sites.
**Job Duties**
+ Directing the flow of traffic around active worksites using a variety of tools including signs and 2-way radios.
+ Following the traffic control plan as written and communicated by the Site Supervisor or Crew Foreperson.
+ Communicating with Site Supervisors and other Flagger's to ensure traffic is flowing efficiently and with as minimal disruption as possible.
+ Interacting with pedestrians and motorists, as needed.
+ Working at multiple locations and under a variety of weather conditions.
+ Other duties, as required.
**Qualifications**
+ A valid driver's license with own vehicle.
+ Must have valid TCP ticket
+ Previous experience as a Flagger / Traffic Control Person
+ Excellent communication skills.

**SUMMARY/PURPOSE:**

+ Responsible for compiling, verifying, and distributing operational data such as flight movements, weather updates, runway conditions, and emergency notifications, which are essential for informed decision-making by air traffic controllers and pilots.

**EDUCATION /CERTIFICATIONS:**

+ Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Transport Canada Radio Operator Certificate (ROC-A).
+ Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Level II security clearance.

- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 10+ years of specialized experience in air traffic control systems engineering and management.
- Extensive knowledge of radar systems, communication systems, navigation aids, and surveillance technologies used in ATC.
- Demonstrated experience with complex system integration, simulation, and performance analysis.
- Strong understanding of ICAO and relevant national aviation regulations and standards.
- Proven leadership capabilities and experience managing technical teams and large projects.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
