Once orientation completed must be able to care for a broad spectrum of critically ill medical/surgical, neurologic, cardiac, and/or trauma patients. If this is a training position two years of recent experience is required.

Experience
+ Two years Required: recent experience as an ED, ICU, or ICU Stepdown RN required. Training program with extended orientation could follow for whichever specialty the candidate does not have. This is a float position with the expectation that primary assignments will be in the critical care areas, including ICU, ED, CVU, and PACU. Once orientation completed must be able to care for a broad spectrum of critically ill medical/surgical, neurologic, cardiac, and/or trauma patients. If this is a training position two years of recent experience is required.
+ Candidates with experience in more than one of these areas preferred. CDU and PCU experience preferred.

+ Required: Registered Nurse and
+ Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support
+ Required: ACLS according to Resuscitation Training Completion Requirements policy. ENPC and TNCC within 12 months of hire or transfer date.

Working Conditions
Lifting
+ Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH).
+ Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures.
+ Push/Pull: Frequently up to 45 lbs. force (i.e., WOW, medical carts).
+ Perform hands on CPR at least 20 mins using 100-125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA) Frequency should be seldom or occasionally.
+ Ability to move around area with frequent sitting.
+ Bending/ stooping/ squatting/ reaching/ kneeling frequently.
+ Lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently.
