Nous recherchons un(e) tarificateur(trice) expérimenté(e) en assurances de personnes (prestations du vivant), spécialisé(e) en assurance maladies graves et assurance invalidité individuelle, responsable de l'évaluation des risques médicaux, non médicaux et financiers. Dans ce rôle, vous gérerez un volume élevé de dossiers et prendrez des décisions de tarification de qualité dans les délais requis, conformément aux limites d'autorité établies (assurance invalidité jusqu'à 5 000 $ de prestation mensuelle et autorité en assurance maladies graves de 100 000 $ à 500 000 $ et plus), tout en maintenant de solides normes de gestion des risques.
Vous examinerez les dossiers médicaux, les rapports du médecin traitant, les résultats d'analyses de laboratoire, les états financiers personnels et commerciaux ainsi que d'autres documents justificatifs afin d'évaluer les risques et de déterminer l'admissibilité à la couverture. La personne retenue sera à l'aise de gérer environ 10 à 15 dossiers par jour (50 à 75 par semaine) tout en maintenant sa productivité, le respect des normes de service et la qualité des décisions.
De plus, vous contribuerez aux initiatives d'assurance qualité en effectuant des audits et des révisions des décisions de tarification, favorisant ainsi des pratiques d'évaluation des risques uniformes et un traitement efficace des dossiers. Compétences et qualifications supplémentaires
+ Plus de 3 ans d'expérience en tarification des assurances de personnes individuelles (prestations du vivant), avec une spécialisation en assurance maladies graves et assurance invalidité (et non en assurance collective).
+ Expérience démontrée dans l'évaluation des risques médicaux, non médicaux et financiers, incluant l'analyse de dossiers médicaux, de rapports du médecin traitant, de résultats de laboratoire, de renseignements financiers personnels et d'états financiers d'entreprise.
+ Autorité actuelle ou antérieure en tarification d'environ 5 000 $ de prestation mensuelle en assurance invalidité et de 100 000 $ à 500 000 $ et plus en assurance maladies graves.
+ Excellente capacité à prendre des décisions de tarification judicieuses tout en conciliant gestion des risques, expérience client et objectifs de productivité.
+ Expérience dans l'audit et la révision de décisions de tarification afin d'assurer la cohérence, la qualité et le respect des lignes directrices de souscription.

Description
We are seeking an experienced Living Benefits Underwriter specializing in individual critical illness and disability insurance, responsible for assessing medical, non-medical, and financial risk. In this role, you will manage a high-volume caseload, making timely and quality underwriting decisions within established authority limits (Disability Insurance up to $5,000 monthly benefit and Critical Illness authority of $100K-$500K+), while maintaining strong risk management standards. You will review medical files, attending physician statements, lab results, personal and business financial statements, and other supporting documentation to evaluate risk and determine coverage eligibility. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing approximately 10-15 cases per day (50-75 per week) while maintaining productivity, service standards, and decision quality. In addition, you will support quality assurance initiatives through the audit and review of underwriting decisions, contributing to consistent risk assessment practices and efficient case turnaround. Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 3+ years of experience in Individual Living Benefits Underwriting, with a focus on Critical Illness and Disability Insurance (not Group Insurance)
+ Demonstrated experience assessing medical, non-medical, and financial risk, including the review of medical records, attending physician statements, lab results, personal financial information, and corporate financial statements
+ Current or previous underwriting authority of approximately $5,000 monthly Disability Insurance benefit and $100K-$500K+ Critical Illness coverage
+ Strong ability to make sound underwriting decisions while balancing risk management, customer experience, and productivity expectations
+ Experience auditing and reviewing underwriting decisions to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to underwriting guidelines
+ Ability to manage a high-volume caseload, averaging 10-15 cases per day (50-75 cases per week) while maintaining accuracy and service standards
+ Proficiency with underwriting systems and digital tools, including queue-based workflows, SharePoint, Dynacare, and other underwriting platforms
+ Familiarity with industry underwriting resources, including the RGA Global Underwriting Manual (GUM), is considered an asset
+ Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
+ Experience with Canadian insurance carriers such as RBC, TD, Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Desjardins, Equitable, or Beneva is considered an asset
+ Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and able to travel to a Canadian office up to twice per year for team meetings and collaboration events
