You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust cybersecurity strategies, policies, and technologies across the automotive ecosystem, from in-vehicle systems to connected services. This hybrid role combines focused, independent work with collaborative team sessions. We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable engineer with a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and their application within the automotive domain. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies for automotive systems, including in-vehicle ECUs, infotainment, connectivity, and cloud platforms.
  • Identify and assess cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
  • Design and deploy security countermeasures, including intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, authentication, and secure coding practices.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure security is integrated into the design process (Security by Design).
  • Define and enforce automotive cybersecurity standards and best practices (e.g., ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE WP.29).
  • Conduct security testing, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Respond to and investigate security incidents, developing remediation plans.
  • Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and regulatory changes in the automotive industry.
  • Mentor junior cybersecurity engineers and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with a significant focus on the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including cryptography, network security, secure software development, and threat modeling.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Automotive Ethernet) and security requirements.
  • Experience with security analysis tools and vulnerability assessment techniques.
  • Understanding of relevant automotive cybersecurity standards and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
