**Job Summary**
The Heavy-Duty Mechanic (HDM) is responsible for performing inspections, major and minor repairs, overhauls and servicing on all types of Maintenance of way equipment (Heavy duty equipment).
**Working Conditions**
+ The role operates either on a 9-days-on, 5-days-off or 8-days-on, 6-days-off rotational schedule away from home
+ Ability to work irregular shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
+ 90% field environment from a service truck
+ Regular travel up to 90%
+ Willing to travel for work across British Colombia, Alberta and Saskatchewan

**Major Responsibilities**
+ Heavy Duty Mechanics (HDM) perform major and minor repairs, overhauls and servicing on all types of Maintenance of way equipment
+ Inspect, service and maintain Maintenance of way equipment, in accordance with federal and company regulations, including repairing, replacing, cleaning and adjusting parts
+ Diagnose diesel engine malfunctions and make required repairs
+ Use electric and oxy-acetylene welding equipment, lubrication equipment and other repair tools and equipment, and operate said tools and machinery in a safe and effective manner
+ Prepare inspection, maintenance, and work reports, and record details on prescribed forms in accordance with established procedures
+ Operate a service truck (F550 or similar) in accordance with federal and company policies
**Requirements**
+ High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
+ Red Seal in either Heavy Duty Mechanic, Commercial Transport Mechanic, or Automotive Mechanic.
+ A valid driver's license
+ Using measuring devices and understanding visual displays
+ Basic technical knowledge of diesel mechanics
+ Good hand-eye coordination
+ Dedicated to getting the job done while meeting established standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction
+ Frequent lifting / carrying up to 50 lbs. (22 kg)
**Assets**
+ Ability to certify company equipment in accordance with federal standards
+ Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and electronic systems
+ Welding skills

**Job Responsibilities Include:**
+ Work on a highly motivated, dynamic, strong development team implementing, supporting, and enhancing PeopleSoft HCM (Workforce Admin, Position Mgmt, Organizational Development, Profile Mgmt, Workforce Development, Compensation Mgmt, Base Benefits, Time and Labor, Employee and Manager Self-Service, Company Directory, North American Payroll)
+ Design, development, debugging, bug-fixing, & unit testing of the PeopleSoft application as well as work on Support (Incident acknowledgement, analysis, resolution, testing and closure)
+ Interacting with business users, Functional leads & customers to understand and define requirements and participate in design & development.
+ Independently lead module implementations and Support
+ Conduct assessment and evaluation of reporting needs and make recommendations on reporting tools.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Minimum 6-8 yrs PeopleSoft Development and Support experience
+ Minimum 6-8 yrs PeopleTools (Peoplecode, App Engine, Workflow, SQR, Component Interfaces, App packages, Integration Broker, web services, Query, XML publisher, UNIX, Cobol and can write and understand complex SQL statements).
+ Build and maintain Application Engine programs, Application Packages, Workflow, and Approval Framework (AWE).
+ Create and optimize SQR and BI Publisher reports.
+ Customize pages, records, fields, and menus while adhering to upgrade-safe practices.
+ Maintain and manage both internal and external system integrations with a good understanding of delivered integrations between HCM and Campus solutions
+ Good functional exposure (2-4 years) in HCM (Workforce Admin, Position Mgmt, Organizational Development, Profile Mgmt, Workforce Development, Compensation Mgmt, Base Benefits, Time and Labor, Employee and Manager Self-Service, Company Directory, North American Payroll)
+ Should be able to complete testing & reviews based on Functional & Technical designs.
+ Good understanding of the Functionality of HCM modules, Payroll, process flow, key application (setup and transactional) tables and flow of data into the core tables.
+ Must have experience working in a global delivery team (onshore and/or near-shore resources) as an Onshore/Offshore Co-Ordinator
+ Ability to understand customer requirements, possess clarity of thought and communication and translate business requirements/issues to technical requirements and design
+ Full understanding of the Software SDLC (systems development life cycle)
+ Knowledge in PeopleTools 8.60 or higher
+ Experience reviewing PeopleSoft MP, bundles, patches, regulatory updates and applying fixes

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for Canada-based positions. The starting pay range for this remote role is $93,979.00 - $181,362.00 annual salary. For Ontario candidates the pay range will be $93,979.00 - $143,979.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all Canada locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.

**What you'll do:**
+ Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment
+ Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
+ Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
+ Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
+ Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers
+ Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
+ Other duties assigned as needed
**Requirements:**
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
+ 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
+ Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
+ Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
+ Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
+ Must own tools applicable to position
+ Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
+ Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
