Wage : $34 to $35.75 /hour (based on skills and experience/salary increases as per company policy). Profit-sharing bonus program as per company policy.

Employment terms and conditions : Seasonal employment, full-time, 44 to 60 hours per week (weather dependent), Overtime, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Night

Heavy Equipment Operator

As a heavy equipment operator, you’ll be spending most of your time working with a variety of heavy machinery, primarily excavators but also including bulldozers, loaders, skidsteers and rollers, while making sure that the machines are in good working order. There will be many different tasks from day to day, so we need someone who’s competent and willing to learn new skills. We also want someone who can work independently and can take initiative when there are unexpected challenges.

The Details

Qualifications 

• 5+ years of current experience operating heavy equipment, primarily excavators and bulldozers. We need someone who can be productive and independent from day 1.
• Experience working as a heavy equipment operator in civil, landscape, earthworks, environmental, or infrastructure construction.

• Previous health and safety training is an asset, and a strong commitment towards health and safety in the workplace is a must have.
• Verbal communication skills and experience working in a team.

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced operator to join our snow removal team for the upcoming winter season. This is an on-call, seasonal position ideal for someone with flexible availability and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Operate Loader and/or Kubota equipment for snow removal on commercial and residential properties.
• Clear driveways, parking lots, sidewalks, and access roads efficiently and safely.
• Conduct pre- and post-operational checks to ensure machinery is in good working order.
• Maintain safe operation standards in challenging weather conditions.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members during snow events.

Requirements:
