This is an opportunity to join the culinary team at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Aramark provides catering services to faculty members as well as to external partners and guests for conferences, banquets, weddings, etc. The Catering Manager will be responsible for relationships with key stakeholders at Dalhousie University managing high end catering and conference events as well as developing new strategies to highlight catering business on and off campus.
Job Responsibilities
? Oversee catering functions and special events for internal and external clients and groups
? Meet with clients for needs, floor plans, rentals, and event staffing
? Collaborate with Chefs to plan event menus introducing seasonal fare using Aramark standards
? Ensure food and service meet quality control standards; assist with purchases and inventory
? Follow financial budget and profitability related to food and labour costs and expenses
? Collaborate with Executive Chef on costing to ensure profitability
? Oversee staff schedules through appropriate allocation per event bookings
? Ensure staff is trained on catering Standard Operating Procedures
? Collaborate with departments to develop a plan to grow the catering services business
? Network via social media and in-person events within the community to highlight our services

Qualifications
? Post-secondary education in a hospitality related field is an asset
? 2-3 years conference and catering experience in Hospitality and/or Food & Beverage programs
? Experience managing sizeable catering events - 250+ guests
? Excellent communicator and management skills; organized; detail oriented
? Ability to understand and manage budgets and financials
? Good working knowledge of MS office ? Word, Excel, PowerPoint and catering software
? A sales background in hospitality is a definite asset; ability to market via social media

Aramark is currently recruiting a Clinical Dietitian to manage clinical nutrition services for acute care, long term care and outpatient services at Labrador West Healthcare located in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador. This is a dual role that also includes the position of Food Services Manager to manage and oversee meal service for 28 patients.
The Clinical Dietitian and Food Service Manager plans, coordinates, and manages all patient and resident nutrition care activities while complying with the standards established by Aramark, regulatory agencies, and clients. Develops and implements cost effective, profit-generating nutrition programs, functions as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team to implement nutrition care plans, and establishes and maintains policies, standards, and programs for the provision of optimal, cost-effective nutrition care to patients/residents. Qualifications
? Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Clinical Dietitian preferable in a hospital or long-term care setting
? 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
? Requires a bachelor?s degree at an accredited institution with course work accredited or approved by the appropriate nutrition and dietetics agencies
? Earn and maintain applicable certifications, registrations, licenses, credentials, and continuing education requirements by the appropriate accredited local agencies
? Must be an active member of the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Dietitians or transfer a current membership to the province.

What You Will Do:

What You Will Do:
- Build a solid understanding of Ecolab products, plant operations, customer business objectives, and applicable government regulations
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations on Ecolab's innovative products, equipment and services
- Provide industry expertise to customers in terms of sanitation, safety, quality and operations; including assisting with sanitation plans and programs, standard operating procedures, evaluating processes and procedures, identifying and implementing operational efficiencies, and employee training
- Develop strategic work plans for completing sales and service/consultation calls with new and existing customers
- Communicate effectively with all levels of plant staff; build strong business relationships and networks
- Manage Ecolab products and equipment; participate in equipment installations, observe and test equipment and product performance, repair or adjust equipment, adjust chemical concentration levels, monitor product inventory and place orders
Position Details
- Position will support Montreal and surrounding area including travel to Gatineau and Eastern Ontario.
- Overnight travel: 1 – 2 nights/month depending on business needs
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Post-Secondary Diploma
- 2 years of experience in food, beverage or dairy processing/manufacturing environment OR 2 years of selling into manufacturing environments in technical sales
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Bilingual – French/English
- Willingness and ability to work varying hours (average: 1-3 overnights per week)
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout a geographic territory
- Able to travel to the US for training/meetings

Preferred Qualifications:
- Dairy industry experience highly preferred
- BS/BA degree in dairy, food or agricultural science, engineering, chemistry, biology or related field
- General mechanical ability
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Strong follow-through and organizational skills

The Territory Representatives manage a territory of customers in the food retail sector and are responsible for the following:
- Growing sales and retaining existing customers by providing service excellence
- Gaining new sales through new products and new customers
- Providing customers training on food safety and sanitation through high quality surveys and audits

What You Will Do:

This is a field-based position and will require travel to the following locations and surrounding areas:
Territory: Northeast Quebec to New Brunswick (including Bathurst, Balmoral, Caroquet, Miramichi, Moncton)
Applicants must live in Miramichi, Caroquet, Bathurst, Campbellton or close surrounding areas
Overnight Travel : 4 to 5 times per month
Weekend Rotation: Once every 3 months
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bilingual – French and English
- High School Diploma. Post secondary education preferred.
- 1-2 years of food industry experience. New graduates welcome!
- Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Availability to provide emergency call assistance which may occur at night, on weekends and over holidays
- Ability to travel to the US for training/meetings
