What You'll Do on a Typical Day
Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers
Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and pro-actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services
Arrange and book approximately 70% domestic and 30% international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations
Use Global Distribution System (GDS): Sabre
Ensure compliance to customers' agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
Use positive telephone and email service techniques and act on special customer requests
Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels

United StatesThe US national hourly wage range for this position is from $17.00 to $29.00 per hour. The national range provided includes the hourly rate that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual hourly wage rate will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.

Responsibilities:
Housekeeping
- Performs standard housekeeping duties at the resort and all affiliated properties as required
- Leads the department's administrative functions including ordering supplies, assisting with budgets/cost controls, scheduling, and timesheet/ payroll submissions
- Ensures guest areas, as well as staff facilities, are kept in good repair (general cleanliness and presentation, maintenance concerns, missing items, paint chips, major furniture scuffs/ damage, etc.)
- Ensures cleanliness in the housekeeping department, including walls, floor, staff room, washroom, storage areas, and loading area; ensures garbage is correctly stored/ disposed
Project Management
- Coordinates/ leads regular departmental team meetings (ideally weekly)
- Works with Finance department to establish annual budget for necessary replacement of all supplies
- Engages in proactive risk management to include the protection of property and to prevent injuries
- Meets regularly with VP of Resort Operations to ensure workplace issues are addressed, both verbally and in writing via the weekly President's Report & Meeting
- Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
Leadership/Supervision
- Supervises the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness at the resort are adhered to

Reports to: VP of Resort Operations
Reporting to the VP of Resort Operations, the Executive Housekeeper is directly responsible for all housekeeping activities throughout all MWHS properties. The Executive Housekeeper leads the housekeeping department to deliver exemplary housekeeping services to achieve the highest level of cleanliness and tidiness. The Executive Housekeeper leads a team and represents the company's corporate image in an exemplary manner, acting as an ambassador for the brand image.
Responsibilities:
Housekeeping
- Performs standard housekeeping duties at the resort and all affiliated properties as required
- Leads the department's administrative functions including ordering supplies, assisting with budgets/cost controls, scheduling, and timesheet/ payroll submissions
- Ensures guest areas, as well as staff facilities, are kept in good repair (general cleanliness and presentation, maintenance concerns, missing items, paint chips, major furniture scuffs/ damage, etc.)
- Ensures cleanliness in the housekeeping department, including walls, floor, staff room, washroom, storage areas, and loading area; ensures garbage is correctly stored/ disposed
Project Management
- Coordinates/ leads regular departmental team meetings (ideally weekly)
- Works with Finance department to establish annual budget for necessary replacement of all supplies
- Engages in proactive risk management to include the protection of property and to prevent injuries
- Meets regularly with VP of Resort Operations to ensure workplace issues are addressed, both verbally and in writing via the weekly President's Report & Meeting
- Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
Leadership/Supervision
- Supervises the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness at the resort are adhered to
- Coordinates departmental human resource/staffing plans and champions the recruitment and development of staff; acts as coach to develop improvement plans
- Establishes expectations and regularly reviews performance to provide feedback to staff
- Coordinates housekeeping department employee training manual
- Instills the highest level of attention to detail within the team
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 12 or General Equivalency Diploma
- Minimum 7+ years direct work experience within a housekeeping team
- 5+ years experience supervising others
- 5+ years experience in the hospitality industry
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic, outbound and proactive sales for a portfolio of 6 multi-branded hotels while also creating a sales-focused culture with the General Managers and Front Desk staff by sharing best practices and peer to peer coaching.
- Accountable for driving ROI for hotel partners while achieving revenue milestones on a shortened sales cycle of 6 months.
- Activate new accounts in the local market and increase market share from existing accounts through intentional and strategic prospecting. Deliver bi-weekly sales strategy presentations over MS Teams with each of your designated hotels to report progress.
- Develop and nurture a sales pipeline utilizing Salesforce CRM to manage accounts and shorten the sales cycle.
- Support the Dynamic Sales Solution model by working closely with your assigned POD (team) to drive revenue across our portfolio of hotels.
- Create remarkable client experiences, manage client expectations, and maintain a high level of client satisfaction by acting as a seamless extension of the hotel and representing your clients with professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to travel for bimonthly in-market visits to elevate and strengthen client relationships with Hotel Owners, General Managers, and team which will expand sales targets and increase revenue.
Requirements
Hotel Industry Sales Experience:
- 3 or more consecutive years of hotel guestroom sales experience in business transient, crew, and government segments within a select service hotel.
- 2 years of experience in a Dual or Area hotel sales role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of hotel systems, RFP process, and brand tools.
- Understands how to communicate and negotiate effectively so that prospecting efforts are converted into actualized revenue.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with hotel clients and team members.
- General hotel operations knowledge.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proven experience using a CRM system to manage your sales pipeline and be held accountable for daily activities and follow-ups to track progress within your sales cycle.
