Job Duties Include:
- Responsible for execution of all aspects of food and beverage service to guests in the daily operation of the Fairmont Gold Department, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction at all times
- Greeting guests, maximize seating during breakfast service, and maintaining exclusivity of the Fairmont Gold Lounge
- Set up buffet and lounge tables efficiently for breakfast, canapés, and other services.
- Communicate with Fairmont Gold Supervisors & several departments with special requests and guest preferences
- Ensures the highest possible revenues are generated for Fairmont Gold through promotion and control of the honour bar
Perform operational tasks including:
- Wash and clean buffet service items; keep lounge and buffet areas clean (vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash/recycling).
- Perform regular deep cleaning per duty schedules.
- Assist guests with local information and recommendations.
- Work with the kitchen to serve the Fairmont Gold Lounge menu and maintain food presentation standards.
- One year of experience in a buffet-service food and beverage environment
- Recognized commitment to guest service and exceeding guest expectations
- Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift

Be an ambassador for an exceptional guest experience as Guest Services Captain, where your passion for service will inspire your team and make our guests feel valued.
This is a permanent, full-time position, starting July 23, 2025.
Starting Rate of Pay: $20.15 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $23.55.
Job Duties Include:
- Lead and supervise the Guest Services team while ensuring all service standards are followed
- Handle guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying proper departments
- Attend regularly scheduled departmental meeting
- Assist in managing the departmental budget and scheduling colleagues accordingly
- Balance operational, administrative and colleague needs
- Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
- Previous leadership experience in guest services preferred
- Previous Property Management System experience preferred
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications preferred
