Key Job Responsibilities
Equipment Operation
- Responsible for accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of intermediate audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise.
- Complies with all Company security and safety measures.
- Ensures equipment is secure from theft and/or damage when in use.
Customer Service
- Provides excellent service and strives to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
- Maintains a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication.
- Meets with guests on site to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly.
- Monitors events and checks in on customers throughout the day.
- Understands and fosters the hotel/client relationship.
Training/Staff Development
- Assists in training technicians on all floor activities and on hotel and ENCORE service expectations.
- Serves as a mentor for new hires.
- Models and reinforces a positive working environment centered around company values.
Operations Management
- Organizes the daily floor activities to ensure the timely set up, refresh and removal of equipment.
- Performs daily floor management including directing the workflow of technicians and assisting management with labor needs and scheduling.
- Ensures the equipment sheets are updated and properly completed.
- Works with team to establish coordinated communications for the management of events.
- Attends venue meetings as needed (example = banquet event orders or pre-event conferences)
Equipment Maintenance
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment to keep it presentable and in good working condition.
- Leads the team in proper security, storage, transportation, and maintenance of equipment.
- Participates in physical inventory count processes as requested.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- 3-5 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred
- 3-5 year of audio visual experience is required
- Internal applicants must be Technical 1-Star Certified before applying. External applicants will validate and achieve their Technical 1-Star Certification within 60 days of start date
- Knowledge of technical theory

Successful applicants will be matched to available positions based on previous relevant work experience. 

Starting Rate:  

Fairmont Gold Supervisor - $24.26 per hour 

VIP Concierge - $5.28 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. 

Job Duties Include:

Fairmont Gold Supervisor

  • Provide excellence in guest service and act as liaison between the hotel and our guests, always responding to guest requests and concerns in a personal, prompt, and courteous manner with the ability to think “outside the box”
  • Demonstrate a commitment to provide warm, anticipated service to exceed the needs and expectations of our discerning guests by providing a personalized curated guest experience.
  • Must be able to perform all front desk duties including but not limited to accurately post all charges, assist with check in/out procedures, auditing and reporting.
  • Review all Fairmont Gold reservations ensuring accuracy, and that all standards are met.
  • Provide exceptional concierge information to our guests about local and area attractions, restaurants, theatres, special events, tickets, and other available services/excursions
  • Ensure the arrival and departure experience of all guests is seamless through coordination of our market mix and VIP's
  • Ensure food and beverage standards are adhered to on a daily basis while continually raising the bar of service excellence; assisting Lounge Attendants when needed

VIP Concierge 

  • Assist in coordinating all phases of the guests stay from pre-arrival, arrival and follow up after departure to ensure the highest level of guest service and a seamless experience is provided
  • Assist VIP and high profile guests with preparation of activity itineraries and ground transportation when applicable
  • Empower colleagues to appease any guest service challenges and ensure all guest issues are tracked and followed up on to ensure service recovery
  • To provide a courteous and professional service at all times, utilizing our Concierge Service Essentials to turn moments into memories for our guests
  • To offer assistance to all guests in making reservations and arrangements for dining, activities and tours; for example, horseback riding, limousine services, theatre tickets, sporting events
  • To provide correct and accurate information on tourist sites and activities, including being well versed in their individual company policies and procedures
  • To log reservations, create confirmations and itineraries, provide information and be well versed on the ALICE application
Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

Fairmont Gold Supervisor

  • Minimum 1 years previous Front Desk supervisory experience in a Large Hotel preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of Micros-Opera PROPERTY Manager, word and excel
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with a high attention to detail required
  • Previous working experience in Royal Service and or dealing with guest recovery with excellent recovery asset
  • Graduate of Hotel Management or Hospitality program an asset

VIP Concierge

  • Minimum 2 year’s previous Hotel experience in Front Office, Guest Services, Concierge or Royal Service
  • Les Clefs d’Or membership an asset, or are currently working towards membership
  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset
  • Food & Beverage Experience an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of Micros-Opera PROPERTY Manager
  • Strong working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher
  • Complete knowledge of all hotel’s facilities and tourist attractions/ activities in the Town of Banff
  • Clean driving record and Class 5 license

First impressions are everything!  As a Fairmont Gold Room Attendant with Accor Hotels, you will act as a brand ambassador in creating the essential Toronto experience for each one of our values guests in a luxury boutique setting.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities That Create the Essential Toronto Experience:

Reporting to the Director of Fairmont Gold, the Fairmont Gold Pantry Attendant will be responsible for the following:

  • To report for duty on time with a professional appearance and clean appropriate uniform with all the tools needed to start your shift.
  • Engage with guests to better understand the purpose of their stay while observing and communicating their food and beverage preferences to support the delivery of anticipatory service
  • Acknowledge guests by name while honoring their unique preferences and requests
  • Execute full cycle food & beverage mise en place preparations, setup, and service processes in accordance with departmental performance standards
  • Welcome and offer assistance to guests who are utilizing the lounge
  • Assist with the replenishment of food and beverage offerings in the Fairmont Gold and Deloitte Lounges throughout the day
  • Assist with the clearing and resetting of tables in addition to the replenishment of flatware, crockery, and glassware
  • Maintain cleanliness of all food & beverage preparation areas within the Fairmont Gold & Deloitte Lounges
  • Adhere to food sanitation and safety standards at all times
  • Oversee and ensure the quality and appearance of all culinary presentations and pantry areas
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to the Fairmont Gold grooming standards at all times
  • Actively participate in the ongoing development of the Hotel, service enhancements and training, ensuring delivery of departmental standards.
  • Adhere to the hotels social media and confidentiality policies
Qualifications

  • We are looking for service oriented individuals who have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi task are required for this role
  • This position requires the successful candidate to have a flexible schedule and the ability to work a variety of shifts including early morning start times, weekdays, weekends and or holidays
  • Valid Smart Serve certification required
  • Please note that candidates must already be legally eligible to be work in Canada in order to be considered
  • Previous luxury level service knowledge and training an asset
  • College diploma or University degree from a Hospitality related program an asset

The Director of Fairmont Gold & Luxury Experience is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all aspects our Fairmont Gold department, consistently achieving exemplary guest and food & beverage service across all 94 rooms, check-in desk and luxury lounge on the Fairmont Gold floor.

Salary Range: 

$80,000 - $90,000 gross annually, based on previous experience and education

Job Duties Include:

  • Lead the Fairmont Gold team to maintain service excellence throughout the hotel's VIP area, including check-in, guest rooms, and food & beverage offerings in the Fairmont Gold Lounge
  • Control the Fairmont Gold room inventory including upgrades, up-sells, out of order rooms, sell outs, preventative maintenance and special room projects - work closely with the Front Office and Housekeeping departments to sell and promote Fairmont Gold offerings
  • Collaborate with the Culinary Team to craft the Fairmont Gold Lounge menu, taking into account food costs, ordering and presentation
  • Create new initiatives that will 'Make Special Happen' for our VIP Guests
  • Ensure the Fairmont Gold Team provides a best-in-class experience to guests, informing them about attractions, dining, special events, and other available services
  • Maintain financial accountability with labor costs and departmental expenses, forecast and run the Fairmont Gold budget
  • Handle and resolve Fairmont Gold guest’s complaints
Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing a large hotel department for 3+ years
  • A minimum of 2 years in a 4-diamond hotel, with concierge experience an asset
  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management is an asset
  • Must be able to inspire a team to achieve the ultimate luxury experience
  • Must have a proven record of exceeding guest expectations and commitment to guest service

  • Responsable de tous les aspects du service à la clientèle des opérations journalières du Fairmont Or
  • S’assurer que tous les standards des opérations et du service Fairmont Or soient appliqués. Surveiller l’entretien de tout produit du Fairmont Or;
  • Réviser toutes les réservations du Fairmont Or en s’assurant que les standards Fairmont Or soient appliqués. Chaque demande spéciale doit être anticipée;
  • S’assurer de générer un niveau supérieur de rentabilité pour le Fairmont Or et qui soit en parallèle avec la direction qu’entreprend la réception dans les programmes de vente incitative;
  • Offrir un service exceptionnel de conciergerie à nos invités en ce qui concerne les activités locales, les restaurants de la région et autres évènements spéciaux;
  • Développer et maintenir une bonne relation avec la clientèle pour assurer leur loyauté. S’assurer de participer à l’enrôlement des clients au programme ALL afin d’atteindre des objectifs précis.
