Position Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Registered Nurse (RN) is a member of an interdisciplinary team that provides medical care, recovery therapies and programs, and everyday care and support to clients in Detox and addictions residential treatment. The LPN/RN provides nursing care to clients, administers medications in accordance with organizational and pharmaceutical policies and procedures, and provides support to the Nursing Team and Physician as directed. The LPN/RN supports its clients in recovery in a myriad of practical and therapeutic ways including: supporting recovery strategies, assisting with client needs, listening empathetically, and more.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinical nursing assessments during the patient intake and discharge process as per facility policies and procedures.
Gathering of medical /mental health / substance use history
Collection of urine for substance screening, HCG testing or urinalysis
Administration of breathalyzer test
Provide nursing care and interventions, vital sign monitoring, and medication administration for patients during medically supervised detox process as per facility protocols utilizing withdrawal assessment tools including CIWA-AR, CIWA-B and COWS.
Provide nursing care, interventions, and monitoring of acute or chronic conditions, administer scheduled and PRN medications as per facility to CORE Programming patients.
Perform First Aid; respond to acute emergent situations and administration of emergency medications as required, such as epinephrine or naloxone, as per facility standing orders and protocols.
Document nursing assessments, nursing care, behaviors and related progress in KIPU electronic medical record system.
Communicate with physician regarding acute medical concerns, medication orders, detox protocols, patient progress, medical services required and discharge prescriptions.
Schedule, coordinate and document physician and Lab appointments.
Weekly medication and medical supply order.
Collaborate with Physician, Clinical Counselors, Aftercare and Admissions Coordinators, Support Staff, and the Administrative Team via telephone, email, Microsoft Teams, KIPU documentation and in-person meetings to maintain continuity of care.
Administrative tasks such as creating patient identification labels, updating / photocopying /printing forms or documents using Microsoft Office.
Participate in quality assurance programs, assist in establishment and updating of policy and procedures, preparation of reports as needed.
General cleaning / sanitizing of patient rooms after discharge. Typical tasks include items such as cleaning / sanitizing of high touch surfaces, bedside tables, bedmaking and providing clean linens.
General cleaning / sanitization of the patient lounge, Nursing office, bathroom and medication administration area.

Experience and Qualifications:

Valid and Current RN/LPN License with the College of Nurses of British Columbia
Trauma informed training/experience an asset.
Must be able to read and write and communicate verbally and in writing.
Must be able to understand and follow directions.
Must have good hearing and eyesight.
Valid First Aid/CPR Level C.
Clear Criminal record check through the Ministry of Justice.
Valid Class 5 Drivers License in good standing

**Qualifications**

Support and coordinate the execution and continuous improvement of site-wide health, safety, and environmental programs. Ensure assigned programs and activities are effectively implemented and maintained in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Provide hands-on EHS support to all departments while driving completion and accountability for inspections, corrective actions, and key program deliverables.
**Key Responsibilities**

Stantec's Internal Audit team is evolving and growing to meet the company's assurance needs.  Internal Audit team members can make a difference in improving Stantec's business and financial processes.  We have a well-established SOX program which offers an excellent opportunity to learn the major financial reporting processes of the company.  We also have an evolving internal audit program which provides opportunities to learn about other key areas of Stantec's business.  Those services are delivered within a dynamic company - recent exciting developments include continued domestic growth and expansion into international markets.  We are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor who will provide value added advisory, assurance and consulting services. This will be accomplished by collaborating with various business teams to understand, analyze and resolve business process and internal control issues with the goal of achieving business center and corporate compliance to mandated standards. 
Your Key Responsibilities
- Work independently with only limited direction and guidance and provides appropriate direction to other team members.
- Leading complex audits and consulting engagements from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and client expectations.
- Providing guidance and project oversight to other team members, fostering quality and consistency in audit work.
- Demonstrate the ability to identify potential issues, evaluate risks, and develop solutions to address the issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Developing audit strategies and scopes for high-risk areas, applying a big-picture perspective to evaluate organizational impact.
- Identifying control gaps and process improvements, delivering actionable recommendations to management.
- Managing stakeholder relationships at all levels, including presenting findings and influencing decision-making during exit meetings.
- Establish and monitor targets for internal auditors (where applicable), ensuring both quality and productivity.
- Ensuring compliance with professional standards and maintaining high-quality documentation and reporting.
- Monitoring emerging risks and regulatory changes, advising on implications for Stantec's assurance programs.
- Driving continuous improvement within the Internal Audit function and contributing to team development.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budgets in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel: Approximately 10% domestic and international travel (1-2 weeks per trip).
Your Qualifications and Credentials
- Professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE) strongly preferred - candidates without certification must begin the process within the first year.
- Excellent understanding of internal auditing standards (IPPF), COSO framework, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead projects, think strategically, and deliver results in complex environments.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Confidence in engaging with senior leadership and conveying results.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage group dynamics and resolve challenging situations.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in internal audit, public accounting, or SOX compliance within a large, complex organization; Big 4 experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education/ designation and experience.
**Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
