Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented POS Configuration Analyst to support a large-scale restaurant technology initiative. This is a 12 month contract with possibility of conversion full time, requiring 5 days in person / week in downtown Toronto. This role will focus on menu configuration, back-of-house system setup, and collaboration across marketing, category, and technology teams to deliver seamless menu and product updates across POS environments.
The ideal candidate brings some experience working with POS platforms, back of house technology, and agile delivery, with a high degree of ownership and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document requirements for menu updates and changes across restaurant systems
- Configure menu items using POS graphical user interfaces (GUI) and back-of-house platforms
- Build and maintain recipe configurations and item setups within the system environment
- Execute database-level configuration (no coding required; light technical/analytical background preferred)
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Category, and Restaurant Technology teams to align on updates
- Participate in and lead agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups and sprint demos
- Execute assigned sprint tasks with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
- Collaborate with internal SMEs to intake requirements, configure items, and hand off to QA teams for validation and automation testing
- Ensure accuracy and quality of configured items prior to release

- 3+ years of experience in:
o Back-of-house restaurant technology
o Menu configuration or POS programming/configuration
- Hands-on experience configuring POS platforms (GUI-based configuration preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in Agile environments, including sprint ceremonies and task execution
- Ability to translate requirements into system configurations and deliver high-quality outputs
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders - Experience with cloud-based POS platforms
- Experience supporting QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) environments, or similar industry (Food & Beverage, Grocery, Hospitality, Inventory)
