XTL Transport Inc. is looking to add more Experienced Class 1 US/Canada Long Haul Drivers to join our outstanding Airdrie team where we have consistent and steady work. 

At XTL, we understand the importance of our customers and their satisfaction. Our customers needs and expectations are at the forefront of our operations, and we strive to deliver exceptional service at every turn.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have valid Class 1 drivers license 
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years Class 1 LONG HAUL experience with at least two consecutive winters 
  • Must have a at least ONE FULL YEAR of US Cross border experience included in the minimum of 2 years of Long Haul Experience
  • Must be living in the Calgary/Airdrie area (We do not hire outside this area)
  • MUST BE FLUENT IN ENGLISH (Speak, Read and Write English) due to the new US Mandates. 
  • Must be willing to travel all US States and Across Canada
  • Must be willing to be on the road for 5-10+ days travelling all across Canada and Coast to Coast in the US. 
  • Must have reefer experience 
  • Meat inspection experience is an asset
  • Must have mechanical knowledge
  • Clean Abstract with ZERO moving violations (Example Speeding) with less than 5 demerits. (MUST PROVIDE A 5 YEAR COMMERCIAL ABSTRACT FOR ALL PROVINCES WHERE A CLASS 1 COMMERCIAL LICENSE HAS BEEN HELD)


Compensation Structure:

  • Starting rate for US bound loads is $0.59/mile, Canadian bound loads start at $0.54/mile (This rate is all-inclusive rate that includes 2 hr loading, 1 hr border crossing, and 2 hr unloading, Pre & Post trip & Fueling)
  • ** Yearly hourly and mileage pay increases **
  • Paid weekly through payroll
  • Paid 3 day in class training and paid 2 days in cab training
  • Newer International trucks and a fleet which is renewed every 4 years
