We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Field Technician (Site Investigation, Remediation & Response) to join our dynamic Environmental Services team in Saskatchewan (Regina or Saskatoon office). As a key member of the team, you will work with the team to further solidify our project delivery and technical excellence, as well as work with senior management to help determine the future direction of the group. **Your Key Responsibilities**
* Actively participating in promoting a strong health and safety culture in the team
* Perform field work as directed including supporting and conducting site assessments (Phase I ESA, Phase II ESA)
* Provide mentorship and training to more junior field staff.
* Support remediation projects (including both in-situ and ex-situ remediation programs)
* Support Emergency Spill Response Projects and support Environmental Management Team with tasks including environmental monitoring on projects.
* Conduct both groundwater and surface water sampling along with drilling programs, soil logging and sampling.
* Assist with basic environmental assessment duties on projects of various complexity.
* Assist with onsite construction observation, contractor coordination, and daily inspection reports.
* Able to liaise between clients, contractors, municipal officials and third parties on-site.
**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
* An experienced senior professional who consistently applies advanced practical knowledge to deliver results.
* Solid understanding of all phases of engineering or soil sciences document production
* Knowledge of sampling techniques (soil, groundwater, surface water), as well as testing/sampling protocols
* Knowledge of technical specifications, GIS mapping and analysis
* Working understanding of policies and procedures for HSSE, including client-specific training (as required)
* Strong documentation, note-taking skills, attention to detail.
* Ability to check work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
* Recognizes when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions.
* Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
* Ability to take initiative and direct sub-contractors, drive investigations and remediation programs.
* Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner, both in writing and in person, with clients, employees, and visitors
* A strong affinity for teamwork and training/mentoring junior field staff is also essential for this position.
* Candidates should include list of valid health and safety certificates on their resume, such as any first aid and CPR training, off-road vehicle training, ground disturbance training, and any other current courses.
**Education and Experience**
Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 5 years of related experience in contaminated sites, delivering outstanding technical solutions on projects in Saskatchewan is required.
Valid driver's license and drivers abstract required.
Typical office environment working with computers. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.

The Opportunity
Superior Forklift is looking for a skilled Field Technician (Heavy Equipment or Automotive) to join our team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan . Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Technician will be assigned to critical machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As a Field Technician your key responsibilities will include:
- Adequately diagnose and repair heavy machinery and lift equipment as required by customers
- Build relationships with customers, communicating a clear understanding of job scopes and repair requirements
- Perform planned maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of material handling equipment
- Conduct tasks assigned from the Dispatcher, maintaining communication and providing updates as needed
- Prepare all required parts before visiting job sites
- Actively communicate with the Parts department to ensure required parts are available
- Complete work order forms for assigned jobs
- Adhere to warranty policies, and complete necessary warranty documentation
- Report any safety incidents according to company policy
- Maintain proper documentation as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- Provincial Heavy Duty or Automotive Journeyperson’s ticket, or 5+ years of proven experience in a related industry
- Relevant Red Seal Trade Certification preferred
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external customers and internal stakeholders
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to travel to customer sites within local region as needed

The base pay range for this role is: $37.00 to $44.00 per hour.

**Experience:**
+ Customer service experience
+ Intermediate knowledge or experience on diesel engines
+ Some mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities is an asset
+ High Voltage / Low Voltage experience is an asset
**Education-certifications:**
+ Valid driver's license
+ Clean driver's abstract
+ Red seal certification (Heavy duty, Truck and transport ) is mandatory.
+ Locally valid driving permit
+ This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
**Qualifications**
On Call rotation required.
- A copy of your red seal certification or trade's diploma is required for this position.
- A copy of a 5 years driver's abstract is required for this position.

**Responsibilities**
**About the role:**
+ Working hours are Monday to Friday- Starting time 7:30am with 1/2 hour lunch please (40 hrs. week)
+ The position will support the PG department and receive Cummins Training.
+ This position will also require to be on call every 4-5 weeks for one week at a time once the training is completed.
+ The position will involve some traveling and some occasional in-shop work.
+ This position requires work including (commissioning, preventative maintenance, diagnosis and repair) on generators ranging from portable RV units all the way up to large commercial.

**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:**
+ Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner.
+ Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
+ Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
+ Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field
+ Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor
+ Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
+ Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
+ Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
+ Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
