Note: Last Cohort for Fine Arts due to rolling changes within the Faculty of Arts and Science.
A Department Student Council President advocates on behalf of the students in their department. In addition, the DSC President is the leader of a committee of undergraduate students that is responsible for the planning and execution of events tailored to their specific department. The DSC Co-Presidents report to the ASUS Academics Commissioner.
Applications will remain open until a competitive candidate pool is established. The closing date will be determined based on the volume and quality of received applications .
Time Commitment and Remuneration
Approximately an 11 month-term from March 2025 to April 2026.

Time Commitment and Responsibilities
- Advocate for the interests of students in their respective department
- Organize, promote, and execute academic and social events for the department
- Prepare for and attend every Arts and Science Faculty Board
- Coordinate administration of USAT evaluations
- Submit a budget, strategic plan, and constitution to the Academics Commissioner
- Participate in DSC Assembly, to be held once a month
- Attend a monthly meeting with the Academics Commissioner or the Deputy Academics Commissioner
- Follow all provisions in the DSC Charter

Publicly launching in 2021, 5oz was conceived by Stephan Weishaupt taking a collaborative approach to partnerships with Artists in offering a gallery environment that guides both the presentation and Art-buying experience in a way that is highly individualized.
Showing Art and interacting with clients in unconventional, highly personalized ways differentiates the brand from a typical gallery. Displayed in a network of settings in and around Toronto, Vancouver, New York, and Miami, including within private residences accessible by appointment, and at Avenue Road showrooms, roving exhibitions include a mix of represented Artists works.
A highly personalized, consultative approach is taken to the service offering, which includes advising, procurement, and logistics for bespoke commissions, in addition to selling pieces from Artists included in the 5oz roster.
5oz is currently seeking a full-time Art Sales Consultant . In this role, the candidate will report to the Director of Sales and Business, Toronto.
Please note that this role supports the art sales of 5oz. and works daily with the Avenue Road sales teams located in Toronto, Vancouver, New York, Miami, and Dallas. This position is located at the Avenue Road, Toronto showroom and requires travel to other properties located in the GTA as well as occasional travel to other Avenue Road showrooms and locations.
Responsibilities
- Develop a cohesive strategy to promote, educate and sell artwork and art objects using existing Avenue Road distribution channels.
- Develop a clear understanding of clients art needs and interests and cater offering to meet those needs.
- Build long term relationships with local and international artists, galleries, and institutions to extract opportunities for sales.
- Prospect, present and drive new business opportunities
- Prepare responses to client inquiries for pricing and product information by phone, email, and in-person including sales quotations and sales orders.
- Input new contacts and leads into database
- Daily interaction with operations team on customer orders and deliveries
- Liaise with clients concerning installations, deliveries, product issues, and payments
- Support development and management of founder private collection
- Grow the 5oz brand by collaborating with Marketing on gallery activations, media releases, and establishing a social media presence
- Perform general collection duties, including assistance with collection acquisitions, recommendation of Artwork, scheduled maintenance of Artwork, and participation in day-to-day operational activities.
Requirements
- Art or design-based education with minimum 5+ years of relevant Art sales experience.
- Must have valid drivers license and access to a vehicle role will require visiting and working out of multiple locations in the GTA
- Proven ability to work well on a team and to collaborate
- Strong attention to detail, high level of organization and initiative
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Customer Service orientation with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify and make pragmatic recommendations on complex issues
- Familiarity with Art handling and transportation logistics
- Familiarity with the documentation and preservation of Art collections
- Confident and polished communication skills, and proven ability to build effective internal and external working relationships

Your Responsibilities
Guide customers through the vehicle financing and leasing process with professionalism and clarity
Work with lenders and financial institutions to secure approvals and competitive rates
Present and explain extended warranties, protection packages, and additional products
Ensure all financial documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations
Support the sales team with timely updates and assistance to maintain seamless customer experience
Maintain knowledge of lending guidelines, rates, and promotions
Build strong relationships with customers to encourage satisfaction, retention, and referrals
Stay up-to-date on all Toyota financial programs and manufacturer incentives
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in automotive finance or customer service preferred
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to compliance and accuracy
Knowledge of automotive finance products and processes
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Valid OMVIC certification (or willingness to obtain)
Valid Ontario G Driver’s License with a clean driving record
