We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with a focus on delivering exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities:
- Performing diagnostics and troubleshooting on various vehicle systems such as, powertrain, electrical, and A/C systems on gas and diesel engines
- Conducting routine maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, brake services, and tire rotations
- Utilizing hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Interpreting schematics and technical manuals for vehicle assembly and repair
- Assisting with heavy lifting of automotive parts and components
- Providing excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients/advisors about their vehicle needs
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Valid 310S or 310T certification (dual-certification an asset)
- Clean Ontario “G” driver’s license and a satisfactory driver’s abstract
- Previous dealership experience is preferred but not required
- Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical repair skills, especially with Ford vehicles
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Experience in welding is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects as needed during repairs and maintenance tasks
- A commitment to safety standards in the workplace
- Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients
Pay: $30-$45.00 per hour Flat Rate
Expected Hours: 40-44 per week

You should have experience as an auto mechanic on cars and light trucks along with a Journeyman Automotive Certificate or enrolled in the apprenticeship program. ( at least completed 3rd year).
Reports To: Service Manager.
Automotive Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repair on customer vehicles.
- Identify problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment.

- Test the functionality of parts and systems.

- Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.
- Prepared to get additional certification as needed.

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS:
- Journeyman Certificate or enrolled in the Apprenticeship Program.
- Hold a valid driver license.

- Must be fluent in the English language.
- Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
