  • Act as project manager from inception to approval, coordinating with municipalities, clients, and consultant teams

  • Craft high-quality written deliverables such as Planning Justification Reports, supporting letters, and policy reviews

  • Shape projects from early site analysis and visioning through to the final planning documents

  • Provide strategic planning input on a variety of project types — from mid-rise infill to large-scale community developments

  • Present at municipal Council and Committee meetings, and advocate for projects through the public process

  • Monitor changes in planning policy and legislation, and evaluate how they impact current and future projects

  • Coordinate sub-consultants and internal teams to keep projects on track and aligned with client goals

  • Offer planning insight to internal design teams and review development concepts for feasibility and compliance

Must-haves:

  • 10+ years of professional planning experience, ideally in a consulting or development environment

  • Accredited degree in Urban Planning or a closely related discipline

  • Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and member of OPPI/CIP

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven experience managing projects through all phases of the municipal approvals process

  • Solid understanding of planning and urban design principles within the Ontario regulatory context

Nice-to-haves:

  • Some graphic communication or presentation design skills (e.g., Adobe Suite, SketchUp)

  • Familiarity with development finance or market analysis

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement or facilitation

  • A passion for community building and sustainable design

Remote/Hybrid: Full-time in office. Flexibility offered, but presence is expected to collaborate with the team and attend meetings.
