As a Credit and Collections Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s credit and accounts receivable operations. Reporting directly to the National Credit Manager, you’ll collaborate to maintain collection goals and ensure strong A/R performance. This role involves managing a high-volume portfolio of 800+ accounts, proactively monitoring delinquent balances, and working directly with customers to resolve issues through professional and positive communication.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing orders on credit hold and making informed decisions to release or hold them, assessing credit limits for new and existing accounts, and posting incoming payments such as cheques, EFTs, wire transfers, and credit cards. You will also liaise closely with internal and external sales representatives regarding account decisions, investigate billing discrepancies, and resolve misapplied cash transactions. In addition, you’ll provide coverage for other portfolios during team absences and support ad-hoc projects and duties as required.

• 5+ years’ experience in Credit and Collections within a high-volume department, demonstrating long-term stability in past roles.
• Post-secondary education in business or accounting preferred.
• Proven track record of reliability, accuracy, and consistency in day-to-day responsibilities.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain steady performance in a structured environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Professional, diplomatic approach with solid negotiation and conflict-resolution skills for managing late payments and delinquent accounts.
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
• Dependable work ethic with a positive, steady team attitude.

As a Risk Assessment Specialist, you will be part of the foundation of our human health and ecological risk assessment (HHERA) group. Candidates can be based in any Matrix office location. The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of risk assessment, risk management and toxicology projects with responsibilities as follows:

• Maintain a strong working knowledge of federal and provincial risk-based regulations
• Act as Technical Accountable for HHERA for a variety of clients for risk-based management of contaminated sites across Canada
• Provide support as an expert witness if/when needed in the regulatory approval process
• Provide senior review for quality assurance of technical risk assessment and risk management reports
• Conduct presentations on regulatory changes to other Matrix technical teams and our clients on an as-needed basis
• Provide leadership to a team of professionals who conduct HHERA across Canada, often in addition to providing other contaminated sites expertise
• Work with risk assessment practitioners and contaminated sites project managers to advance risk assessment and risk management skills among Matrix personnel
• Promote site-specific risk assessment and risk management services within Matrix and externally to clients
• Lead or contribute to site-specific risk assessment business development opportunities across Canada and provide strategic proposals and budgets for new work opportunities
• Regularly and effectively communicate with regulators, clients, and technical staff
• Maintain risk assessment and risk management models and provide training to practitioners
• Develop and maintain a hazard assessment resource library (e.g., current toxicological profiles).

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum of 12 years practicing risk assessment and applying Canadian risk assessment protocols
• M.Sc., M.Eng., or Ph.D. in toxicology, biology, applied chemistry, environmental science, environmental engineering, or related discipline(s)
• Eligibility or current Professional designation in a relevant association
• Comprehensive understanding and experience using federal and provincial guidelines and risk assessment frameworks
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and mentor project teams
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.

We’re on the lookout for a Business Systems Analyst (Credit Card Program) to join our team! Reporting to the Director, Solution Delivery and Relationship Management, you’ll take the lead on technical and systems analysis for our Credit Card Program. This is your chance to help shape and implement scalable, forward-thinking solutions that make a real difference. What will you be doing?

• Collaborating with business, architecture, and technology teams to define and deliver new functionality that enhances business outcomes and improves the customer experience.
• Applying strong analytical skills and experience navigating technology in large organizations to help teams deliver impactful results.
• Gathering, documenting, and analyzing system requirements related to credit card processes and translating them into functional specifications to guide development and enhancements.
• Partnering with IT and business teams to design and implement system solutions that streamline workflows and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Collaborating with our vendor partner, Brim, and developing a strong understanding of the platform’s capabilities and functions.
• Identifying and documenting gaps between the platform solution and business requirements, and developing solutions to address those gaps.
• Designing and developing custom solutions where needed to close functionality gaps.
• Maintaining comprehensive technical documentation of systems, processes, and procedures related to the credit card platform.
• Becoming a subject matter expert on system configurations within the credit card platform.

What experience do you have?

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in software development (e.g., Java, Python, .NET).
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in system development within the banking or financial services industry.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with platforms such as Brim or Neo.
• Strong understanding of credit card systems, payment processes, and industry standards (e.g., Visa, MasterCard, TSYS).
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies, including system requirements gathering and documentation.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Working knowledge of Salesforce is considered an asset.
• Background in implementing credit card platforms is a strong asset.
