Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

About the Opportunity

  • Lead Rebrand Creative Design: Take the lead in the creative design of UJA's rebrand project, ensuring that all design elements reflect the new brand strategy and resonate with both existing and prospective donors. Work closely with senior leadership and internal and external partners to bring the rebrand vision to life across all platforms.
  • Design Mentorship: Act as a mentor and coach to other designers, providing support and guidance to ensure adherence to brand standards and to help elevate the design quality across the team.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with the Marketing Operations, Digital Marketing, and Events teams to ensure alignment between design and overall brand strategy while providing administrative and logistical support for design needs.
  • Brand Stewardship: Support the development of the UJA brand strategy from a design perspective, ensuring consistency in brand identity across all channels, and helping design impactful materials for both prospective and existing donors.
  • Project Management: Oversee the progress of design projects and assist in maintaining timelines, ensuring resources are available, and communicating effectively with stakeholders across departments.
  • Support External Relationships: Help manage relationships with external agencies and vendors, ensuring materials meet UJAs brand standards and campaign goals, and support the RFP process to find suitable partners.
  • Design Tools & Guidelines: Develop style guides, templates, and tools that support the design teams production process and ensure consistency in design outputs across the organization.
  • Lead Hiring for Design Resources: Lead the recruitment process for new design resources as needed, ensuring the team has the right talent to meet the demands of the organizations design needs.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Design, Communications/Advertising, or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience working as a Graphic Designer, with a proven track record of supporting design teams and managing design projects
  • Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and motion design software (a plus)
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality design across various marketing campaigns and media
  • Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and project requirements are met
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with experience managing direct reports
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing design resources and workflows
  • Experience leading creative design for rebrand projects or large-scale brand initiatives
  • Experience working with print, digital, and experiential design
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills comfortable presenting to various stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating resources
  • Copywriting skills are an asset
  • Experience in Stripo, Campaign Monitor and Wrike is a plus

The technical director (TD) will ensure the quality of the technical content produced by their working unit. The incumbent must optimize team productivity through pipeline processes by taking online user needs into account. The TD will carry out his tasks by adequately determining project needs, implementing effective tools and methods to maximize data integration in the game engine and provide technical support for their team.

  • Determine enhancements and resolve issues in close collaboration with programmers to provide technical support to the working unit and to empower specialists in its domain.
  • Remain informed of new technical and technological developments to be able to apply these developments on the project whenever relevant and share project developments with peers (TDs on other projects and in other working units).
  • Help plan the work in collaboration with the person who oversees planning based on the scope of each task and the impact of the working unit to establish a compromise between quality objectives and delivery constraints (time, costs, resources, etc.).
  • Follow up on the tasks of associate TDs (if applicable) to assess the progress of the deliverables and coach TDs to ensure that their careers progress.
  • Contribute to external tools selection (engine, plug-in, E-confluence, etc.) to ensure that working units’ needs are considered by assessing existing tools and helping to design and test new tools whenever necessary.
  • Driving the optimization and debugging to fix the issues raised in his field of expertise.

Qualifications

Training

  • Diploma in their working unit for game design or equivalent.
