Position Summary
The Digital Assets Operations Associate is responsible for administering the process of reviewing, signing and validating digital asset transactions. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest and understanding of crypto, with experience in technical operations such as wallet management and trade operations.
This role is critical in ensuring the security and efficiency of the company's digital asset custody operations. The successful candidate will work in tandem with the companys compliance team and ensure regulations both required by its operations, and imposed by management's policies and procedures, are followed.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Administration
- Administer the process of reviewing, moving and validating digital asset transactions
- Ensure all digital asset transactions follow company and regulator requirements
- Ensure that thought goes into the review and operations, not just process
- Ensure that all digital asset transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain accurate records of all digital asset transactions
- Run and review reports for accuracy and details for both clients and internally for company reporting and completeness
Security
- Monitor digital asset transactions for any suspicious activity
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to digital asset transactions
- Work with other operations team members to ensure the smooth running of the digital asset custody operations
- Comply with all internal and external policies and procedures related to digital asset custody operations
Relationship Management
- Counterparty Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new counterparties (exchanges, custodians, trading desks), ensuring compliance with KYC/AML regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest digital asset regulations and industry best practices
Ideal Candidate

- Familiarity with crypto technologies and processes.
- Operations experience in traditional finance and custodial services are also an asset.

What We're Looking For
The Equity Research Associate will be in charge of supporting the Research Analyst with tasks that will include:
- Build and maintain Excel-based financial models, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and discounted cash flow analysis;
- Develop written product with modest direction from the senior level Research Analyst, including periodicals;
- Analyze information obtained from management in order to conceptualize and define operational opportunities and problems;
- Perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy; reformulate models as necessary;
- Build and update comp sheets;
- Manage databases and electronic data services (i.e. Bloomberg, FactSet, Cap IQ etc.);
- Must be able to clearly state and defend the Analyst’s investment thesis and outlook for each of the stocks under coverage;
- Respond to basic questions from institutional sales and clients regarding covered companies, and industry questions and data requests;
- Able to evaluate basic valuation methodologies for stocks under coverage and the broader sector;
- Meet the special projects demands of the senior level Research Analysts;
- Use all resources to determine and locate relevant data; and
- Continue to build industry knowledge and find avenues for independent investigation in the sector.

Education & Experience
- Minimum educational credentials should consist of a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm);
- Additional credentials such as an MBA, CFA or CPA designation are strongly desired; and
- Minimum 1- 2 years full time work experience with preference for prior equity research roles.
