When you join our team as a **Database Administrator** , you will be supporting our Data Management strategy and central to ensuring
our database systems meet the demands of our business operations across North
America. A skilled Database Administrator (DBA) that will further our security
posture and will keep our databases, both on-premises and in Azure, updated, our
data protected and secure. Advancing key strategic business initiatives and working
with teams across the company, meeting milestones, managing data migrations,
troubleshooting issues, and keeping systems of record optimized for high
performance. You are detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to make a real
impact on our database infrastructure and maturing our DBA practices.
**What You'll Do**
+ **Manageand Optimize Databases:** Oversee the setup,maintenance, and tuning of our databases.
+ **BoostPerformance:** Ensure databases run efficiently witheffective tuning and monitoring.
+ **ProtectOur Data:** Establish backups, disaster recovery plans,and high-security measures.
+ **Upgradeand Migrate:** Carry out database migrations, updates,and upgrades across all environments.
+ **AutomateWhere Possible:** Set up automated processes for routinetasks like monitoring and backups.
+ **Documentation:** Keep records of configurations and processes.
+ **DataSafety Champion:** Set up controls, encryption, and logs tomake sure our data stays secure.
+ **EfficientProblem Solver:** Jump in to solve problems quickly,keeping any downtime to a minimum.
+ **ReportingExpert:** Provide insights and reports to keepmanagement and clients informed.
+ **CollaborativeTeammate:** Work closely with internal IT teams to keepsystems running smoothly.
+ **LifelongLearner:** Stay current on database tech and bestpractices, always bringing fresh ideas for improvement.
**What You Offer**
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relatedfield.
+ 5+ years in database administration.
+ Skilledwith both on-premises and Azure SQL Servers.
+ Experiencewith scripting languages, such as PowerShell.
+ Strongbackground in high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
+ Familiarwith the array of tools within the Azure family, such as SQL Managed Instance.
+ Confidentusing SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS for various data tasks.
+ Solidunderstanding of security practices across hybrid environments.
+ Knowledgewith database encryption and anonymization.
+ Automate tasks and improve efficiency.
+ Inquisitive Mind: Eager to understand thefull scope of the business.
+ Proactive Approach: Detail-oriented and ready to jump in toget things done.

**What We Offer**
Interfor has posted the following expected salary range that the company
believes in good faith could be offered to successful candidates. The salary
offered is benchmarked to current market conditions and will also be based on
numerous factors which can include work experience, skills, credentials,
education, and other relevant factors. In addition to a competitive salary, you
will receive a competitive benefits package and be able to participate in our
Short-Term Incentive Bonus plan, with the payout amount subject to individual
and corporate performance. If you have any questions regarding our salary range
or our total compensation package, our recruitment team will be happy to advise
you on what you can expect from us.
**Expected range: $90,000 - $115,000**
