The Electrical Quality Control Inspector is located in Pickering and typically reports directly to the QC Manager. The quality control inspector is responsible for performing daily inspections and test activities for receipt, processing, and final inspections and tests as instructed by the QC Manager. The Electrical QC Inspector is accountable for documenting all inspection and test activities in accordance with the various QA programs of Black and McDonald PGR. The Electrical QC Inspector is responsible for working with other groups during the implementation of the Quality Program activities. The Electrical QC Inspector shall ensure the highest degree of employee and plant safety, as well as quality standards, are met.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform work activities in a safe manner and in compliance with Black and McDonald Safety Program and those of our customers
- Perform receipt, in process and final inspection and test activities including maintaining accurate inspection and test status of items
- Perform special process monitoring activities
- Ensuring correctness of Work Sign-off activities as related to inspection and test activities
- Aid with the implementation of the Quality Management System and Programs within PGR
- Preparation or review of Inspection and Test Plan(s)
- Coordination for Project QC activities, including interfaces with client or outside organizations (subcontractors)
- Accurate and timely verification of inspections and tests shown in the Inspection and Tests plans or as otherwise assigned by the QA Manager
- Documentation of the results of the inspections and tests as required
- Ensure proper use and safe handling of measurement and test equipment, including recording where used
- Identify and control nonconforming items according to Black & McDonald Procedures

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years of college education or University degree in a technical-related discipline
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 10 years of construction trades experience and:
- Minimum 5 years QA/QC experience, including experience in non-conformance control, corrective action process and inspection and test plan generation
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Comprehensive knowledge of Codes and Standards
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Computer Literacy: MS Office, Outlook, and Excel
- OPG Security Clearance requirements
- Ability to work outside regular business hours to support ongoing projects as required

The Quality Control Receipt Inspector is located in Pickering and typically reports directly to the Refurbishment QC Manager. The role of the Quality Control Receipt Inspector is to conduct daily receipt inspections at warehouse and site locations as per the PGR Quality Assurance Program. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that all items and accompanying documentation are inspected in line with the Purchase Order requirements and relevant Codes, Standards, and License commitments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs work activities safely and conscientiously, in compliance with the Black and McDonald Safety Program, and when at other locations, those of our client and sub-contractor locations, as well.
Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail within all Receipt Inspection activities.
Ensures B&M Counterfeit, Fraudulent or Suspect Items (CFSI) procedure is adhered to during all Receipt Inspection activities.
Interfaces with Project Management Team, Procurement, Warehouse Personnel, Field Personnel, Supplier and Client Personnel.
Performs surveillance and monitoring for B&M Special Processes, as required at sub-contractor locations.
Assists other QA personnel with the implementation and maintenance of the Measuring and Test Equipment (MTE) Program.
Identifies and controls nonconforming Items in accordance with Black & McDonald's procedures.
Ensures compliance with B&M and Client FME programs.
Interfaces with Regulatory Authorities when required.
Aids with the implementation of the Quality Management System and Programs within PGR.
Assists in preparation for and during regulatory auditing of QA Program activities at the Osborne location.
Participates in and ensures all company training program requirements are met and maintained.

Minimum of 2 years of College or University in a technical-related discipline or related experience
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 10 years of construction trades experience and, or:
Minimum 5 years Receipt inspection experience
Up to 3 years relevant project experience
Experience working on projects
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience within the receipt inspection process or evaluation of materials is an asset
Competency in the understanding and application of applicable Material Codes and Standards
Good understanding of the general properties of materials
Good understanding of analysis and problem-solving
Good ability to multi-task within multiple project requirements
Good oral and written communication skills
Computer Literacy: MS Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
OPG Security Clearance requirements
Position may require travel (Domestic and International)

- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Computer Literacy: MS Office, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to work outside regular business hours to support ongoing projects as required
