**Duties that you may be assigned to do include** :
- Emergency Response including Ambulance/Fire escorts
- Control Centre - Receiving emergency calls and dispatching staff, Monitoring Fire System Panels, Monitoring CCTV systems that monitoring Parking Lots, Traffic Gates, and Entry/Exit points
- Foot Patrols of On-site & Off-site building
- Mobile Patrols of related parking lots and building perimeters
- ID & Baggage Inspections at Entry/Exit points
- Vehicle Entry/Exit Inspection including Inspection and Sealing of Transport Loads
- Fire Protection Equipment Inspections (Extinguishers, Fire Hoses, Diesel Pumps)
- Fire/Hazardous Prevention patrols
- Shutdown & Restoring Fire Systems that require Above and Below shoulder level activity of turning a manual valve - Example 10" Sprinkler Control Value requires 33 turns to isolate or restore at approx. 185 ft. lbs of torque (Sprinkler System, Fire Ring Main), By-passing Fire System Monitoring Panels
- Fire Watch & CSR (Confine Space Rescue)
- Environmental Incident Response & Control
Securitas at General Motors is a 24/7 operation which will require individuals to be able to work various shifts and weekends.
**Prerequisites include:**
- Security Guard License through the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services
- Certification in Emergency Level - First Aid / CPR Level A or better
- Valid Ontario Driver's License, Level G2 or better
- Physically able to lift 25 kgs unassisted (fire equipment)
- Working at Heights & Depths.
**The requirements for a PSO employee working at the General Motors site would include the ability to carry-out the following:**
1. Lifting Fire Hoses:
- Exchange, carry, inspect, test, or use a fire hose
- Max weight 25lbs
2. Lifting Fire Extinguishers:
- Exchange, inspect, carry, re-charge and use
- Max weight = 55lbs
3. Lifting Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
- Exchange, carry, inspect, test and use
- Max weight = 45lbs
4. Climbing:
i. Fixed Hoop Ladders
- 16ft - 24ft.
- 16 to 24 continuous rungs
ii. Stairs
- 18 Continuous steps
5. Above Shoulder Activity:
- Fire Hose Exchange
- Operating sprinkler Control valve
- Installing fire equipment signs
6. Walking
- 1 hour
7. Standing
- 30 mins
8. Repetitive Movement
- Up and down steps
- Opening/closing vehicle trunks/tail gates
- Writing when logging in/out vehicles
9. Opening/Closing 10" Sprinkler Control Valve

Reporting to the Project Quality Manager, the **Electrical Quality Control Supervisor** - Nuclear Island (NI) will be responsible for the supervision and oversite quality control inspection staff of the in the Nuclear Island segment. This role will work with other sectors and Alliance partners to monitor the construction systems and processes that will achieve outstanding nuclear safety metrics and cost-effective quality operational results in support of the DNNP.

**Responsibilities**
+ Ensure Quality Control requirements applicable to the Nuclear Island segment are effectively controlled and executed.
+ Assist in the development and implementation of project specific quality control procedures and work instructions to support construction activities.
+ Supervise and support the Quality Control Team assigned to the Nuclear Island segment.
+ Interface with the engineering, procurement, and construction groups on matters related to the planning of QC activities required by the design and applicable codes and standards including preparation of
+ Inspection and Test Plans, Construction Work Packages, and NCR management.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance project quality-related documentation, including inspection checklists, test protocols, work instructions, and project-specific procedures.
+ Establish a culture of continuous improvement by identifying new practices that will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the project.
+ Timely inspections are being performed based on construction schedule.
+ Maintain liaison with Alliance Partners on matters related to the quality control requirements of the Nuclear Island segment.
+ Promote a culture of nuclear safety and quality within the NI Team.
+ Support internal audits and customer oversight activities.
+ Assist the project construction team with the understanding of codes and standards and regulatory requirements required by the design.
+ Accountable for review and approval of Lifetime Records (LTRs).
+ Any other requirements as outlined in the Quality Assurance Manuals.
**Qualifications**
+ A minimum, a college graduate in a related field
+ Licensed Journeyman Electrician
+ Experience in the nuclear heavy construction / fabrication industry
+ Experience with a variety of electrical control systems and their installation
+ An exceptional understanding of the following codes and standards:
+ Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC)
+ CSA N285.0, CSA B51, and CSA N299, ANSI N690
+ ISO 9001:2015
+ Continuous improvement and the use of process improvement methodologies
+ Understands design and construction requirements.
+ Strong coordination and organization skills, with strict emphasis on accuracy and diligence.
+ Advanced ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with all internal organization departments, Alliance partners, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
+ Certified Control Systems Technician would be an asset.
+ Electrical Engineering Technology - Control Systems would be an asset.
+ Physical Demands: Includes prolonged standing, climbing into tight spaces, working at heights, extensive reading, and annual eye exams.
