About the Role
We are looking for a Generative AI Engineer to develop our next-generation intelligent translation and translation-related service engine, using Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies. You will report to the team lead on GenAI, develop and implement state-of-the-art algorithms by fast prototyping, and collaborate with the software team to deploy models. We expect our Generative AI Engineer to stay current with the technological cutting edge and build applications of LLM and GenAI to machine translation with best industry practices, as well as having solid background and hands-on experience with deep learning, machine learning, natural language processing, and big data.

Responsibilities

  • Research and implement state-of-the-art LLM techniques including continued pre-training, instruction fine-tuning, preference alignment, and LLM deployment while also focusing on prompt engineering and GenAI more broadly.
  • Work closely with machine learning engineers and data scientists to design, build, and test models.
  • Contribute to technological innovations by staying current to the cutting-edge achievements of GenAI and LLM from industry and academia.
  • Develop efficient and scalable algorithms for training and inference of generative models, leveraging deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch and optimizing performance on diverse hardware platforms.
  • Train and evaluate generative models using appropriate metrics and benchmarks, fine-tuning model parameters, architectures, and hyperparameters to optimize performance, stability, and generalization.
  • Work closely with software and DevOps engineers to deploy GenAI models.
  • Document code, algorithms, and experimental results, following best practices for reproducibility, version control, and software engineering, and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
     
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field.
  • 1+ years of industry experience developing GenAI and LLM applications is preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional experience as a software engineer is required.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and software development practices, with experience in building and maintaining scalable, production-grade software systems.
  • Working knowledge and project-based record of all of the following: prompt tuning, RAG, ICL.
  • Working knowledge and project-based record of at least one of the following is a plus: continued pre-training, instruction fine-tuning, Agent.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Huggingface APIs or Amazon Bedrock.
  • Expert skills of Python, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, Pandas, etc.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Self-driven, self-motivated with excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

**Role description**
**L'opportunité**
Nous recherchons un(e) développeur(se) de données senior expérimenté(e) avec une solide expérience en apprentissage automatique et un bilan éprouvé dans le secteur de l'AdTech. Dans ce rôle, vous serez un(e) contributeur(trice) clé à nos efforts en développement des données. Vous rejoindrez une équipe dédiée de développeur(se)s en apprentissage automatique pour vous concentrer spécifiquement sur l'amélioration et l'extension de nos Pipelines de données pour des modèles de Deep Learning à la fine pointe de la technologie. Ce travail est crucial pour développer et optimiser des solutions qui alimentent notre plateforme AdTech et permettent la prochaine génération de modèles d'apprentissage automatique pour notre activité publicitaire.
**Ce que vous allez faire**
+ Concevoir, mettre en œuvre et améliorer continuellement des Pipelines de données robustes et évolutifs pour l'apprentissage automatique, en mettant particulièrement l'accent sur le soutien aux modèles avancés de Deep Learning.
+ Collaborer étroitement avec des développeur(se)s en apprentissage automatique, des scientifiques des données et d'autres équipes inter-fonctionnelles pour comprendre les exigences commerciales et les traduire en solutions de données, modèles et algorithmes efficaces.
+ Gérer le cycle de vie complet des ensembles de données à grande échelle, y compris la collecte, le stockage, le traitement et l'optimisation pour les applications d'apprentissage automatique.
+ Développer et maintenir une infrastructure de données fiable capable de prendre en charge à la fois le traitement des données en temps réel et par lots.
+ Restez à jour avec les tendances et les avancées de l'industrie en AdTech, en ingénierie des données et en apprentissage automatique, en mettant en œuvre les meilleures pratiques pour élever nos capacités.

**Ce que nous recherchons**
+ Diplôme de baccalauréat ou de maîtrise en informatique, ingénierie, mathématiques ou dans un domaine connexe.
+ Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience en ingénierie des données, avec un accent significatif sur la construction de systèmes et de pipelines pour des modèles d'apprentissage automatique, de préférence dans l'industrie de l'AdTech.
+ Compétent(e) dans des langages de programmation tels que Python, Scala ou Java.
+ Solide expérience avec des technologies de Big Data (par exemple, Flink, Spark) et des plateformes infonuagiques (par exemple, GCP de préférence, AWS).

+ Capacité démontrée à prendre en charge et à mener à bien des projets complexes d'ingénierie des données et à collaborer efficacement au sein d'équipes inter-fonctionnelles.

**The opportunity**
We are looking for an experienced Staff Data Engineer with a strong background in machine learning and a proven track record in the AdTech sector. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our data engineering efforts. You will join a dedicated team of machine learning engineers to specifically focus on enhancing and scaling our data pipelines for cutting-edge Deep Learning models. This work is crucial for developing and optimizing solutions that drive our AdTech platform and enable the next generation of Machine Learning models for our Ad Business.
**What you'll be doing**
+ Design, implement, and continuously improve robust and scalable data pipelines for machine learning, with a particular emphasis on supporting advanced Deep Learning models.
+ Collaborate closely with machine learning engineers, data scientists, and other cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions, models, and algorithms.
+ Manage the full lifecycle of large-scale data sets, including collection, storage, processing, and optimization for machine learning applications.
+ Develop and maintain a reliable data infrastructure capable of supporting both real-time and batch data processing.
+ Stay current with industry trends and advancements in AdTech, data engineering, and machine learning, implementing best practices to elevate our capabilities.
+ Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and shared learning.
+ Ensure all data engineering practices and machine learning initiatives adhere to data privacy and compliance standards.
**What we're looking for**
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
