Job Summary:
Responsible for operating autoclaves and other equipment to clean, decontaminate and sterilize instruments and equipment, including power equipment as applicable. Also responsible for inspecting and assembling instruments, trays and packs.
Details of the position
+ Assist in the orientation and training of new caregivers as directed by the Sterile Processing Tech III, Sterile Processing Tech Lead or Supervisor Sterile Processing.
+ Responsible for the coordination, assembly and distribution of supplies, equipment and instruments for surgical cases.
+ Responsible for ordering supplies and Re-stocking inventory.
+ Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, and equipment in an accurate and timely manner. Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous workflow, providing superior customer service.
+ Cleaning, decontaminating, disassembling and sterilizing instruments and supplies.
+ Operate a variety of sterilization equipment.
+ Clean and maintain department equipment.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
Tech II
+ Minimum of 1 year Required: Experience in sterile processing
+ Required: Certified Registered Central Service Technician or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
+ Preferred: Completion of a National Central Service Technician
Tech III
+ 3 years Required: Experience in sterile processing with experience in all surgical specialties
+ Required: Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician or Certified Registered Central Service Technician
+ Required: Certified Instrument Specialist
**Lead**
+ Minimum of 1 year Required: Experience in a Sterile Processing setting , with experience in all surgical specialties
+ Required: Experience with Neuro, Ortho, and General Surgical instrumentation

**PeaceHealth is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for a Full Time, 0.90 FTE, Night position.** The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $22.54 - $33.82. Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing direct patient care activities within his/her scope of practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician in the Emergency Department.
Essential Functions
+ Assists nursing staff and other care team members with patient care: receiving patients by ambulance and from triage; assisting with ambulatory patients; setting up and assisting with procedures; obtaining patient vital signs; dressing or undressing patients; providing treatment supplies when needed; application of sterile dressings; restraint procedures; immobilization of extremities; cast and splint applications; patient transport.
+ Performs basic patient observation skills and reports significant changes in patient condition to the appropriate team member. Observation of secluded or restrained patients.
+ Maintain unit supplies by stocking patient rooms and supply areas to meet patient care needs. Assist in keeping patient care areas and equipment clean.
+ Performs clerical and communication functions to support departmental operations and patient care.
+ Order entry and results retrieval in the computer system.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
+ Accredited Program Required: Acute Care Certified Nursing Assistant
+ Accredited Program Required: Medical Assistant
+ Accredited Program Required: Emergency Medical Technician.
Experience
+ Minimum of 1 year Required: Work experience as a Certified or Registered Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or EMT

Assists in coordinating the activities between scheduling, insurance verification and pre-certification. Acts as a clinical liaison with physician practices interacting with pre-visit services.
**Details of Position**
+ Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate patient demographic, financial data. May register patients using varying methods depending upon location, which may include mobile cart.
+ Collects patient balances, co-payment, co-insurance, or other payment types.
+ Verifies coverage and ensures all insurance requirements are met, as well as obtaining all prior authorization and/or referrals as appropriate prior to patient arrival.
+ Responds to customer's inquiries.
+ Assists with departmental coverage as needed.
+ Manages daily appointment schedules which may include reminder calls and calling all referrals.
