Job Responsibilities
Examine and diagnose vehicles
Discuss repairs with shop foreman or service advisor
Communicate additional service requests to service advisor
Plan work procedures in cooperation with shop foreman
Provide labor time estimates to service advisor
Monitor repair time and update service advisor regularly
Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs
Assist in mentoring technician trainees
Attend company and OEM training
Keep current with factory technical bulletins
Understand and follow federal, provincial and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma and valid Technician license .

CSN 32 Avenue is expanding their repair team in Calgary, AB, and are looking for a Pre-Repair Inspection Technician. In this position you will play a crucial role in our mission to provide top-notch automotive repair services.
PRI Technicians complete a disassembly of the damaged area upon initial inspection to discover 100% of the damage (including hidden damage) before the vehicle comes in for repair. The PRI Technician works closely with the Repair Planners to ensure that a thorough estimate is written for the insurance company and the customers.
Career Overview/Responsibilities:
- Disassemble the vehicle as safely as possible to discover 100% of the damage – including hidden damage.
- Reassemble the vehicle back to safe driving condition until the repair date which includes temporary panel alignment and burnt bulb replacement.
- Pre-scan for vehicle fault codes whenever possible.
- Assist the Repair Planner in determining appropriate repair times and parts to be replaced.
- Review the final estimate with the Repair Planner to ensure all damage was added to the estimate.
- Ensure that OEM repair guidelines are followed.
- Point out any previous damage and assist with Prior Damage SOP.
- If pre-painting is required, assist in selecting paint code variants.
- Assist in any scheduled vehicle repairs.
- Assist in thorough disassembly of any non-drive or non-scheduled vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Autobody Technician Journeyperson Certificate or registered second or third year Autobody Apprentice.
- Complete working knowledge of the trade and related equipment along with the ability to apply the knowledge in diagnosis and repair work.
- Able to understand, communicate, read and write English at a level needed to meet job-related task and safety requirements.
- MUST have your own tools.
- The ability to think logically and keep up with changes in technology.

Participating in various testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products using established analytical procedures and compendia methods.
Provide support on equipment cleaning verification in manufacturing area.
Operating HPLC/UPLC instruments.
Preparing various reagents (buffer solutions, standard, mobile phase)
Recognizing out-of-specification or out-of-trend results and assisting in the completion of lab investigation.
Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements in manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
Participate in the area of occupational health, safety, and wellness.
**Education and Experience:**
Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Chemistry or related studies and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Strong knowledge of HPLC techniques (min 5 years of experience)
Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge in Microsoft Office with a proficiency in Word and Excel.

Quality Systems

Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop discipline ITPs and ensure stages are followed.
- Maintaining project quality records, logs and turnover documents.
- Material receiving, inspection and verification.
- Appropriate planning of work to ensure project requirements are being met.
- Sub contractor quality management, status oversight and review of documents.
- Read civil and piping drawings, GA's and PID's.
- Coordinate, monitor and review NDT and reporting.
- Monitoring of welding, weld mapping and visual inspections.
- Able to construct hydrotest packs and complete final walkdowns
- Complete redline and as-built drawings integrated with RFIs & MoC directives.
- Civil and Structural inspections and reporting.
Education/Skills/Qualifications
- CWB Level 2 certification with 5+ years experience in oil & gas, mining, or heavy industrial projects
- A strong mechanical background is required.
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle a multitude of concurrent tasks.
- Strong computer skills, especially in the use of Microsoft and Google Suite of products. We are a Google-based company.
- Self-motivated, organized and able to work in a high-pressure deadline driven environment.
- Understands Quality Inspection Procedures, Tools and Equipment.
- Physically fit. Must be able to climb scaffolding, access trenches and work in variable weather conditions.
- Knowledge of TSASK, ASME, ABSA, and CSA codes and client standards structure.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Jacob Bros Construction is now hiring a Quality Control Manager to manage activities at our CSA Precast facility, and ensure ready mix batch plant mixes meet CSA standards and certifications for major projects throughout the lower mainland.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Diploma in Civil Technology; Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Currently located in the lower mainland
- Able to work full-time effective immediately
- Valid driver's license and ability to commute to sites throughout the lower mainland
- Samples and tests concrete
- Records and reports results; maintains quality files
- Liaises with clients and site personnel
- Works with trade and area supervisors to improve in-process quality
- Troubleshooting real time compliance issues in the field
- Monitors non-compliance protocols
- Performs additional duties as assigned
- Diploma in Civil Technology, Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5-10 years Quality Control experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with project teams and subtrades
