Opportunity

The role of Senior Manager, Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture involves leading a team of experienced architects and people leaders. This position focuses on guiding the design and implementation of technical strategies to ensure the client's organization benefits from scalable, secure, and compliant Hybrid Cloud infrastructure. Collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, DevOps Platform Engineering, Operations, Information Security, and Development units is key to execute on large-scale projects, create frameworks, solutions designs, and set standards and processes.

Location: Based in Toronto, with a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Cloud and Infrastructure Architects to ensure successful project and initiative execution.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture to establish and govern Cloud & Infrastructure architecture standards, frameworks, and guidelines.
  • Provide project sponsors with input on project plans, financial estimates, resourcing estimates, and business cases.
  • Drive the execution of the Cloud Transformation program, including participation and leadership in the Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE).
  • Establish and lead a Cloud Architecture CoE as part of the Agile Transformation program.
  • Define, design, and oversee the implementation of infrastructure solutions, focusing on high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with Information Security teams to implement robust security measures, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of architecture, configurations, and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and certifications such as PCI DSS.
  • Provide support for escalated, complex incidents and problems impacting the organization and its merchants’ critical workflows.

What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in software development, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 7 years of managerial experience leading cloud and/or infrastructure architecture teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
  • Demonstrated experience in setting standards and operating strategies with a depth of expertise.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-native technologies and paradigms, including containers, microservices, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, GitOps.
  • Experience in designing and implementing VMWare and Nutanix HCI-based solutions.
  • Design and implementation experience with Software-defined Networks, including solutions based on Cisco ACI, F5, and Palo Alto.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional Agile environment.
  • Proficiency in payment systems and the merchant acquiring business is considered an asset.

Development Manager, Architecture

Position Summary: Elite Developments seeks an experienced Development Manager, Architecture, to lead planning applications for residential and commercial projects. This role focuses on ensuring a successful approval process and project delivery. As a Project Manager, you will oversee the planning and monitoring of our projects in the development stage from pre-consultation until the building permit is obtained.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead the planning and development process throughout the project lifecycle for residential and commercial projects, from post-acquisition to the start of construction.
  • Applications Process: Manage the municipal approvals processes, including Official Plan Amendment (OPA), Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA), Draft Plan of Subdivision, Draft Plan of Condominium, Site Plan Approval (SPA), Committee of Adjustment applications (CofA), Minor Variance applications, and Building Permit applications.
  • Team Management: Build and lead a diverse project team of professionals, including retaining and monitoring the services of architects, engineers, and consultants.
  • Performance Oversight: Monitor the projects soft cost budget, cash flow, and schedule timeline.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks and challenges affecting the projects time, cost, and quality. Implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on project objectives.
  • Project Engagement: Maintain effective communication and relationships with all project stakeholders, including community representatives, municipal staff, and team members. Manage conflicts or challenges that arise during the projects lifecycle.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular reports on project status, progress, and deliverables to senior management.
  • Ensure comprehensive project documentation is maintained throughout the project's lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • A bachelors degree in architecture is required. Being licensed or in the process of being licensed as an architect (OAA) is an asset.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in development management within the real estate development industry, with a proven track record of leading successful residential and commercial projects.
  • In-depth real estate development industry knowledge, including planning, design, and construction.
  • Exceptional leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experienced using project management tools, Revit, AutoCAD, and BlueBeam, and eager to learn new software/techniques.

Job Description Under the supervision of the Director of Consulting Services, the Security Architecture Specialist acts as an information security expert on large-scale mandates. They carry out their duties by implementing tools and/or methods that ensure the ongoing and sound management of this specialization for OKIOK’s clients.
In addition to having general expertise in information security and performing corporate activities expected in this type of role, the consultant excels in their area of specialization.Main Responsibilities Provide consulting services in IT security:

  • Coordinate and participate in the execution of security audits;
  • Identify IT security solutions and assess their impact based on business needs;
  • Implement effective protection mechanisms tailored to clients' needs;
  • Draft/implement policies, standards, and secure management processes;
  • Coach targeted stakeholders, when needed, to ensure the transfer of required technical knowledge;
  • Review the content and format of all documentation submitted by a team member to ensure compliance with standards, specifications, and required quality (Peer Review).
Support professional services management processes :
  • Participate in the preparation of service proposals;
  • Take part in onboarding and orientation activities for new consultants;
  • Contribute to defining the professional services offered or to be offered by the company;
  • Supervise, as needed, technical resources to transfer and/or update the knowledge required to meet performance expectations;

Conduct training activities:

Security Architecture Expertise :
  • Work with the client to understand business needs;
  • Understand security issues and the necessary governance of existing solutions;
  • Draft and produce architectural deliverables in accordance with established standards;
  • Conduct strategic and positioning studies on the evolution of the technological environment;
  • Assess technology opportunities based on the existing infrastructure to maintain optimal availability and performance levels;
  • Develop technical standards, guidelines, and usage rules;
  • Promote and support the implementation of a quality assurance process;
  • Perform technology watch and trend analysis;
  • Support the implementation of new technologies and assist various technical stakeholders;
  • Design conceptual architecture and detailed engineering of the security components of technological projects.
Knowledge, Qualifications, and Assets Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge of mechanisms and technologies related to security, especially certificate management and PKI technologies;
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, CSA, CIS, etc.);
  • Expertise in encryption solutions and multi-factor authentication;
  • Solid knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) solutions;
  • Expertise in SSL VPN infrastructure, web access, and remote access mechanisms;
  • Expertise in security networking;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience;
  • 5 years of relevant experience in technology architecture.

Job Overview

The role of an Architecture Project Lead is a full-time position in the company. As a full-service architecture, interior design, and construction studio, we are looking to bring on a professional who is a self-starter and organized to carry out the duties below. This position will offer the opportunity to collaborate with our internal design team and to work with some of the most successful and affluent homeowners and business people across Canada.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Architecture
  • Has or intends on obtaining licensing an as Architect with the OAA
  • 10 years of experience in architectural design and the production of architectural drawings from Schematic Design through to Construction Administration
  • Experience in multi-unit mid-rise / high-rise residential and luxury houses required. Experience in other building types and interiors an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and other applicable laws
  • Strong understanding of building science and detailing
  • Thorough knowledge of building systems and construction methods
  • Familiarity with the planning and approval application process
  • Excellent understanding of the language of Classical Architecture and of Audaxs design philosophy of Human Architecture
  • High level of skill with Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Hand drawing skills
  • Experience in the production of high-quality computer renderings and presentation materials
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented problem solver with excellent time management skills
  • Personable with excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with the Principals and Director of Architecture to develop the project narrative and design direction
  • Manage staff workflow to ensure the project is within budget and schedule
  • Direct and assist with the production of all drawings and deliverables throughout all phases of assigned projects
  • Review all project drawings and deliverables
  • Act as primary consultant liaison
  • Direct the teams coordination with the project consultants, ensuring proactive efforts to meet deadlines are consistently maintained
  • Collaborate with the Interior Design and Construction departments to foster synergy among the three, operating as one cohesive entity
  • Manage the planning and approvals process
  • Provide competent technical expertise in the design of assigned projects
  • Ensure maximum project efficiency by driving the teams initiatives to full capacity, minimizing downtime
  • Coordinate all activities related to assigned projects and maintain minutes as required
  • Prepare progress reports
  • Supervise, direct, and mentor junior staff
  • Serve as an advocate for Human Architecture and embody the Audax mission statement in all facets of work
