Our client is looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their team! This person will be reporting to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities :
- Update all booked vessels- Movement files
- Request all shipping documents with our factories
- Creates all movement files for production coordinators
- Communicates with production coordinators to approve bookings
- Communicates daily with overseas China office
- Prepares wire payments
- Follows up on all shipments to our warehouse
- Consolidates shipments when needed and negotiates best rates
- Meets all delivery timelines set by director
- Approves all brokerage and freight invoices for payment and releases for wire payment
- Creates all HTS codes and enters in ERP system
- Enters all in transit records for each shipment
- Enters shipments pre-alert information
- Adjusts quantities in ERP system to match quantities shipped
- Receiving goods, in ERP for import files
- Monthly analysis of shipments reports
- Prepares duty draw back each end year
- Tracks any duty special claims to be made
- Monitors freight rates monthly for any adjustments
- Monitors freight and custom rates each end shipping season and compares rates for better comparison
- Proactive in priorities given by your director to perform workload efficiently within the working time frame

Job DescriptionThe candidate should be highly organized and familiar with carrier bookings and import processes. The candidate should be able to track high volume shipments. In addition, the candidate needs working knowledge of North American, UK and Chinese customs regulations, warehouse management procedures and valuation skills.
- Regular communication with suppliers to ensure orders will meet shipment deadlines
- Ensure bookings with freight carriers are validated on a timely basis
- Ensure all customs documentation is correct and compliant with current customs regulations
- Tracking of all pending shipments to ensure scheduled arrivals
- Reporting of all inbound shipments to all warehouse facilities as required
- Obtain and analyze spot quotations for ad hoc shipments as necessary
- Management of retail and web business stock transfers as required

- Update various workbooks, ERP systems to ensure visibility of all inventory on order or in transit
- Work closely with the buying/procurement team to build accurate shipping schedules
- Management of bonded facility and corresponding paperwork for subsequent releases
- Periodically revisit carrier rates and procedures to encourage cost efficient and smoother operations
- Review and approval of all shipping, duty and tax billings pertaining to all shipments
- 2-4 years experience in Logistics
- Experience with Chinese market an asset
- Experience with Momentis an asset
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
