With continued growth and expansion in our markets, we are looking for a Logistics Director to optimize and lead our North American logistics network.
The Role
The Logistics Director will oversee transportation and warehousing operations, lead a team of 3 (including the Director), and collaborate with procurement, sales, and warehousing partners. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, ideal for a candidate with a proven track record of delivering measurable results in logistics performance, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a logistics team of 3, with emphasis on cross-training and performance management.
- Manage inbound and outbound freight across Canada and the U.S. to ensure service excellence.
- Develop routing guides and optimize freight planning for cost savings and efficiency.
- Select, negotiate, and evaluate carriers, using scorecards and KPIs to measure performance.
- Oversee 3rd-party warehousing partners, ensuring service levels and cost control.
- Collaborate with procurement on supplier bids and with sales/pricing teams on customer quotes.
- Implement and monitor logistics KPIs, including:
- % On-time shipments
- Freight spend as % of revenue
- Claims per 100 shipments
- % automated vs manual dispatch
- Carrier performance scorecards
- Enhance existing tools and spreadsheets, and identify/implement new systems to optimize visibility and control.
- Build documentation and reporting processes tied to operational KPIs.
- Ensure all shipments comply with Canadian and U.S. traffic and customs regulations
- Support Quality & Food Safety teams with compliance in warehousing , shipping and inventory
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of logistics leadership experience , preferably in food, frozen, or perishable goods.
- Proven success in carrier negotiations, freight planning, and logistics cost savings .
- Experience managing logistics operations in both Canada and the USA .
- Strong knowledge of 3PL warehousing and transportation management.
- Hands-on expertise in ERP/logistics systems, spreadsheets, and data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration (MBA or CITT/CSCMP/APICS certification is an asset).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers.

- Participate in the governance of cost reduction initiatives and ensure projects come to fruition.
- Participate in supplier program reviews led by the business units.
- Develop and coach team members on procurement initiatives and processes.
- Support commodity manager in the performance development plan process.

- You have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, in law, in supply chain or equivalent.
- You have five (5) to ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- You have experience in the aerospace industry and/or manufacturing environment and/or program management, in a commercial role, an asset.

- You are detail oriented, focused and committed to meeting deadlines.
- You are a strong team player, recognized for your leadership and innovation, and ability to mobilize a team.

**What are your contributions to the team?**
As a Supply Chain Agent, you will report to the Supply Chain Leader. You will be part of the Interiors department, within the Strategic Supply Chain and Procurement division. In this role, you will play a key part in managing supplier relationships, developing commodity strategies, and driving commercial and contractual performance.
+ Establish and maintain global supplier relationships, acting as the primary commercial and contractual interface for new and existing business.
+ Lead development and execution of commodity strategies, including sourcing, strategic alliances, and cost reduction initiatives.
+ Develop and implement negotiation strategies; lead supplier contract negotiations and manage contractual compliance.
+ Support Business Units and Sites with sourcing strategies, contractual issue resolution, and application of remedies for material breaches.
+ Coordinate and lead supplier claims negotiations and ensure business continuity.
+ Drive and manage procurement projects including business case development, cost reduction governance, and supplier program reviews.
+ Build and maintain internal and external networks to support supply chain effectiveness.
+ Mentor and support team members, including assisting in development plans and coaching on procurement processes and initiatives.
