Responsibilities: * Supervision of Delivery Team: scheduling and processes * Monitor and track shipments, addressing and resolving any issues that arise. * Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and SFL team to maintain smooth operations. * Assist in planning and scheduling transportation to ensure prompt and accurate delivery. * Provide logistical support and guidance to Sales, Purchasing and Operations * Assist in training team members on workflows, operational protocols, and safety procedures. * Documentation and Compliance of fleet paperwork and Drivers logs.   Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. * Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of shipments, and warehouse activities related to logistics. * Prepare and present reports and operational summaries to management. * Process Improvement - Identify inefficiencies in logistical processes and recommend actionable improvements. * Implement best practices to optimize operational performance and reduce costs. * Address and resolve issues related to delays, damaged goods, or shipment discrepancies. * Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure prompt resolution of problems. * Repairs and Maintenance of SFL Fleet.  (Straight Trucks and Vans) * Driver support for Breakdown and Delivery issues. * Other Maintenance as needed for shipping area and lot. Job Description:

  • Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices, and other shipping documents manually or by computer.

  • Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or by computer, pack goods to be shipped, and affix identifying information and shipping instructions.

  • Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances

  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.

  • Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas

  • Maintain internal, manual, or computerized record-keeping systems

  • Operate forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload,
    transport and store goods.

  • Experience in a related clerical occupation or as a warehouse worker may be
    required.

  • Strategically coordinate route plans and personnel to ensure on-time and efficient delivery.
  • Driving improvements through monitoring KPIs and planned vs. actual reviews.
  • Validating orders prior to delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate records and performing progress updates.
  • Developing team members to excel in their duties.
  • Engage with production teams to accommodate changing schedules
  • Assemble inventory or customer orders
  • Communicating delivery schedules and changes to customers and production
  • Assist production with order completion after 5 p.m.
  • May perform duties of the team being supervised.

Pay rate:

$27 / hour

Requirements:

  • Drivers license

You’ll build an on-site rapport with customers to seamlessly guide them in their integration of the Tecsys software. Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • Warehousing, inventory, distribution management and/or ERP supply chain software implementations and configuration
    • Operations and processes, working in a warehousing or distribution supply chain operation
    • Business process requirement definition, software configuration, data loading, testing and training
    • You also have operational experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
    • Warehouse Management
    • Inventory & Order Management
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accountancy) or Supply Chain, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering with an accounting certificate or equivalent
  • Due to the frequent travel involved in this role, a valid Canadian or American passport is required
  • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.

  • 3PL experience
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting aptitude and the ability to work independently
  • Technical aptitude including knowledge of Java, SQL, Oracle, databases, Unix/Linux, scripting, infrastructure and networks an asset

  • Knowledge of slotting, racking and warehouse layout design concepts and optimization
