What you have to offer:

  • Act as key support to the Director, Fund Treasury assisting with special projects related to changes in audit requirements, vendor operations and/or regulatory governance. May include digitization and automation initiatives, process improvement review and implementation, and coordination of special audit engagements.
  • Participate and lead in cross training on key fund reporting functions and provide back up support as necessary.


About You  
  • University Degree, preferably with a focus on Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience
  • 5+ Years of relevant experience; managerial experience is an asset
  • Accounting designation (CPA, CA) or post-graduate designation (MBA, CFA, CBV) equivalent is required

Salary Range  
$115,000 - $120,000/year

About the Opportunity
  • Support the preparation of consolidated quarterly tax provisions in accordance with IFRS for publicly traded investment vehicles.
  • Review tax provision packages submitted by Canadian-based portfolio entities.
  • Oversee Canadian tax compliance processes (including corporations, partnerships, foreign reporting, and other information returns) for select private investment structures and internal holding entities.
  • Contribute to various group-wide tax initiatives, including Pillar 2 and EIFEL reporting, foreign accrual property income (FAPI) calculations, surplus computations, and excluded property assessments.
  • Manage tax operations for designated private investment vehicles.
  • Handle tax audits and respond to inquiries from Canadian tax authorities.
  • Address tax-related questions from investors in both public and private investment structures.
  • Collaborate with global tax team members on cross-functional initiatives.

About You
  • CPA designation with a minimum of 4 years of corporate tax experience, ideally from a Big 4 accounting firm or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of tax accounting under IFRS for publicly traded entities.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale Canadian tax compliance projects.
  • Solid understanding of Canadian domestic tax issues affecting large corporations.
  • Familiarity with international tax matters, including Pillar 2.
  • Completion of CPA In-Depth Tax Course (Parts I–III) or a Master of Taxation degree.
  • Excellent project management and analytical skills, with a pragmatic approach to complex tax matters.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Tax (50%)
  • Lead all aspects of corporate tax compliance, including income tax, indirect tax (e.g., GST/HST, sales tax), and international tax reporting.
  • Oversee preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors.

About You  
  • CPA  or equivalent professional accounting designation required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in tax and treasury, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in corporate tax compliance, tax provision, and treasury operations.
  • Experience in a multi-entity and/or international organization preferred.
  • Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP accounting standards.
  • Proficient in financial systems (e.g., ERP, tax software, treasury management tools).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional initiatives.
