Our client is a Canadian owned and operated water and wastewater products company that supplies processes and equipment for water and wastewater treatment for industrial and municipal use.

Position Summary

• Use of hand and power tools to build units according to specifications
• Ability to measure and cut PVC piping
• Assist with fabrication of machinery
• Additional general duties, as required

Skills and Knowledge:

• Previous Mechanical and/or plumbing assembly experience required
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with coworkers and supervisor
• Ability to multi-task and work with power tools

We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to join our quality control team. This role focuses on conducting quality assurance material checks, testing, and managing sample tender processes and procedures to ensure the highest standards of product quality.
Responsibilities
Prepare colour charts and folders for both internal and external use.
Train on quality checks and testing to identify and prevent product defects.
Collect samples and review carton quality from all production departments for retains and customer requests.
Determine and manage substandard products and raw materials, participating in product sorting and mentoring other sorters.
Organize and maintain the sample room, distributing colour charts and samples as requested.
Perform tests on customer products using quality lab equipment.
Enter test data into the computer according to customer requirements.
Generate Certificates of Assurance and Compliance, and Colour Management reports for customers.
Gather samples and data to assist in quality investigations.
Maintain and file production and quality records by order number.
Conduct daily physical inventory verification of QA Hold and NC Roll Hold areas.
Perform internal quality machine and food safety audits.
Complete cleaning tasks according to the quality lab cleaning schedule.
Assist in monthly inventory counts.
Essential Skills
1 year or more of manufacturing or warehouse packing experience.
1 year or more of quality control and assurance experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with repetitive motion.
Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting small fixes.

Position Summary

• Assist other workers by putting stainless steel tubing into a cleaning machine

• You will also be responsible for repairing defective tubes by placing them into a brushing machine

• You will also be operating a Cut-Off machine and de-burring tubes by hand

• You will need to check that quality meets all product expectations according to specific work orders

• Complete production logs and reports as required

• Monitor by regular and routine inspections

• Sort and stack bricks on skids
• Work at the end of the line and stack tumbled bricks on to the skid
• Must be able to shrink wrap and label products
• Assist with yard clean up
• Assemble wooden skids/pallets together
• Operate loader machine
• Operate forklift as needed

Skills and Knowledge

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with coworkers and supervisor
• Differentiate between the different types of bricks (size, color, design etc.)
• Experience operating forklift and loader machine is an asset
