Salary: $30.00-$5.00 per hour

Location: 2100 Kingsway, Sudbury ON
Compensation: 30.00- 35.00 per hour
What You Will Be Doing:
- Perform mechanical repair work on gasoline marine engines, outboard motors and related marine equipment/systems
- Troubleshoot and test marine engines and equipment to determine need for repairs and modifications
- Install electronics and accessories as required
- Uncrate new outboard engines and mount to transoms' PDI trailers; mate boat, motor and trailer into packaged units
- Complete routine maintenance and repairs to marine water systems, head and holding tanks, bilge pumps, etc.
- Complete winterizing and summer prepping for all marine systems and accessories
- Advise Service Advisors of diagnosis, needed repairs and additional work required
- Ensure the service shop is maintained in a clean, organized, hazard-free manner
- Operate forklift, gantry lift, or any other equipment required to complete the job (Training and certification will be provided)
What You Bring to the Table:
Applicants must have a desire and passion for powersports with a strong mechanical background in the powersports and marine industry!
- 3+ years of experience in the marine industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of marine motors
- Valid G Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Tools Required; technician must supply their own tools with the exception of OEM specific special tools which will be supplied by our company
- Must be organized, responsible, able to abide by all relevant safety requirements.
- Position requires the ability to safely lift and manage materials related to the job
- Positive Teamwork Attitude
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use a computer for electrical diagnostic software systems

Your Role as Intermediate Electrical Engineer
In your role as an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, reporting to the Manager of Power Systems Engineering Services, you are responsible for performing engineering design and studies for various electrical distribution and substation projects (from 600V up to 230kV voltage levels). This includes preparing electrical protection and control design deliverables, and/or physical layouts for medium and high voltage substations. You will also establish project strategy, review drawings, and ensure elements of design and detailing adhere to jurisdictional requirements and will liaise with all key stakeholders.
Your Key Accountabilities
- Technical and Documentation
- Independently prepares and verifies complex technical calculations.
- Designs distribution systems utilizing client standards including bill of materials, yard layouts, plans, sections and details, grounding, ground grid, control building arrangements, interior and exterior raceways, auxiliary AC and DC power systems and cable lists.
- Designs protection and control scheme; including CT selection, relay wiring design and protection parameter selection using IEEE standards and applicable codes.
- Prepares scope of work, estimates, schedules, budgets, specifications and reports.
- Prepare new and modify existing relay drawings including relay panel arrangements, single lines, three lines, AC and DC schematics, equipment wiring, and relay panel wiring.
- Prepare new and modify existing reports/studies such as Protection and Coordination, Arc Flash, Load Flow and Grounding.
- Leads site visits for data collection, and assessments and to provide recommendations for remedial action.
- Leads and provides oversight for QAQC (quality assurance quality control) checks as
required.

- Business Development and Client Management
- Identifies and pursues new high-value business opportunities.
- Leads in the preparation and presentation of proposals of significant scope and complexity.

- Maintain records of client interactions and project updates.
- Project Coordination and Management
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to project teams.
- Leads large projects and project teams, ensuring project delivery meets scopes, schedules, budget, and quality requirements.
- Provides oversight in planning and execution of complex projects.
- Manages project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Coordinates and manages the project team, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Supervision over other engineers or technicians when required on a non-regular basis.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of related low/medium/high voltage power distribution experience is required
- A degree in electrical engineering is required
- Registered with PEO, and holds a Professional Engineering License (P.Eng), or equivalent in Canada.
- Substation design experience considered an asset
- Familiarity with power systems including power systems studies (load flow and protective device coordination using Easypower, SKM and ETAP), project scopes, project schedules and deliverables
- Knowledge of engineering standards, codes and guidelines
- Strong industrial experience, with experience in surface and underground mining
- Knowledge of mining-related processes is a definite asset
- Able to work independently and in a team environment to meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites applications.

Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed in a regular office environment.
- Travel to client sites is required on occasion to attend meetings and to conduct field visits for quality checks for built as designed.
