**In your role, you will**
- Interpret plans, specifications and technical documentation for different industrial equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. (Lathe, milling machine, CNC machine, sheet metal equipment, heat treatment, etc.)
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on various equipment using specialized tools.
- Participate in the design, manufacturing and optimization of equipment.
- Carry out work, both at height (nacelle, lifting platform) and in enclosed spaces.
- Use electric, pneumatic or manual tools, depending on the operations to be carried out.
- Use measuring instruments, such as micrometer, vernier, caliper, etc.
**As our ideal candidate**
- You have a DEC in Industrial Maintenance Technology or DEC in Mechanical Engineering.
- You have maintenance experience on production machines (an asset).
- You have experience in maintaining hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic machines (an asset).
- You have to be comfortable working independently and demonstrate initiative.
- You have very good communication skills.
- You have good judgment and work well in a multidisciplinary team.
- You need to be flexible, there is possibility of working varied hours over 7 days, 24/24 hours, according to the collective agreement. (Day OR Evening OR Night)

Perform maintenance, preventative maintenance and repair work on complex integrated machine tools and other plant equipment in a fast paced flexible manufacturing environment. The successful candidate must function well as part of a team or as an individual contributor while providing the required maintenance support to a 24/7 production schedule.
**What your day to day will look like**
+ Responsible for the electro mechanical troubleshooting , repair and return-to-service of sophisticated production equipment including articulating robots, CNC mills, lathes and grinders
+ Effectively perform new equipment installations and existing equipment overhauls
+ Source required components to facilitate the necessary repairs
+ Read and interpret complex schematic diagrams
+ Use appropriate test equipment to analyze maintenance issues on production equipment
+ Troubleshoot PLC programs from various manufacturers in order to analyze and repair production equipment (experience with Fanuc and Siemens preferred)
+ Maintain, update and create documentation for production equipment
+ Follow P&WC Environment, Health and Safety policies such as lock-out tag-out procedures
+ Ability to multi-task and respond to changing priorities
+ Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and decision making skills
+ Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drive systems and machine alignments
+ Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment
**The tools you need to be successful**
+ Completion of a recognized post-secondary program in either an electro-mechanical, electronics or mechanical field
+ Preference given to applicants with minimum 5 years' experience performing electro/mechanical troubleshooting and repair in a production environment
+ Extensive knowledge and experience with electro/mechanical industrial drive systems utilizing various methods of position feedback, networking hardware
+ Strong computer literacy, familiarity with MS Office, AutoCAD, multiple operating systems
+ Must be able to work rotating shifts including night shift (7PM to 7AM) to support a 24/7 operation working rotating shifts (days and nights)
+ Permanent resident or Canadian citizen, who will successfully complete an education verification, criminal background check and the Controlled Goods Program

The Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Able to repair and maintain equipments with minimum assistance.
- Maintenance of plant equipment, inspection, damage assessment of the root cause, and determine proper repairs and testing equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery.
- Assist and repair pumps, compressors, hydraulic systems, break press, shears, roll forming machines, punch presses, welding machines.
- Assist in training other employees and Maintenance Mechanic trainees.
- Adhere to all Life Savings Rules, including Lock out tag/out (LOTO), Machine guarding, / Bypassing safety controls, powered industrials Truck (PIT) safety protocols; OHSA, Safety Policies.
- Adhere and follow to all other Atkore policies, such as harassment, free workplace of Drug and alcohol, Respect and Harassment, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing plant is required.
- Three (3) years of manufacturing and fabrication experience is required.
- Millwright Certification preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills are required.
- Positive approach, self-motivated, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Eager and interest to learn continuously in manufacturing environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language.
- Ability to work both as a member of a team, a team leader or as an individual contributor.
