About the Organization:
The Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle (BANAC) is a regional social planning and development organization dedicated to serving Indigenous communities across Simcoe County, Muskoka, and York Region. Through innovative programs and services, BANAC supports community well-being with a focus on Indigenous values, knowledge, and leadership.
One of BANACs cornerstone initiatives is the Mamaway Wiidokdaadwin Primary Care Team, an Interprofessional Health Care Team that offers wholistic, culturally safe health services. Mamaway provides primary care, mental health support, traditional healing, and health promotion tailored to meet the unique needs of Indigenous individuals and families.
Our services are delivered in clinic settings, in the community, and in partnership with mainstream service providers, ensuring accessible, coordinated care grounded in Indigenous ways of knowing and being.
About the Role:
The Medical Office Administrator (MOA) plays a vital role in the daily operations and overall success of Mamaway Wiidokdaadwin clinics and Indigenous health services. This position supports the planning, development, and coordination of healthcare delivery, ensuring efficiency and cultural sensitivity across all areas of service.
As an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, the MOA works closely with a range of healthcare professionalsincluding Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, the Traditional Healing Coordinator, Therapists, Health Promoters, and othersto foster a collaborative and wholistic care environment.
The role offers meaningful opportunities for engagement with healthcare providers, clients, and community members, contributing to the delivery of inclusive, responsive, and respectful care in Indigenous communities.
What You Bring:
- Registered Practical Nurse preferred
- Relevant knowledge and experience attained through graduation from a recognized College/University in Medical Office Administration or related
- Phlebotomy certificate and experience and asset
- Previous experience working within the Indigenous community, combined with knowledge of Indigenous cultural safety and Indigenous cultural practices.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position preferably in the nonprofit community health or social service sector
- Previous experience in community health/social services and/or values based organization an asset
- Previous experience working with interdisciplinary teams

We take care of our PATIENTS by prioritizing risk-matched care that serves as a primary response to any on-location medical emergencies that may arise.
We take care of our CLIENTS by acting as an extension of their eyes and ears and projecting a welcoming yet alert presence while circulating within the event site and among participants.
We take care of our CREW by building a culture of mutual support, fostering effective communication and promoting team collaboration to ensure that our skills develop and align with the ever-evolving needs of pre-hospital care.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
A certification - EFR, AMFR, EMR, AEMCA
Available to work in the GTA and surrounding areas
A commitment to work a minimum of 1 to 2 shifts per week
Comfortable working around horses is an asset, but not required
A customer service-oriented mindset (welcoming, informative, helpful, respectful)
A willingness to engage and apply proper procedures, guidelines and protocols
A confident demeanour, whether working independently, with a partner, or as part of a larger team for our major planned events.
A transportation plan (car, carpooling, rideshare) to get to/from the event site to which you are assigned.

This position is fully embedded in a pharmaceutical company.
The Lead will collaborate across various teams to create seamless digital experiences to support clinical trial recruitment. A key part of the job is to ensure timely, personalized medical information and education are delivered through digital channels to help HCPs make informed decisions, about clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Digital Strategies for Clinical Trial Recruitment: Lead the planning and execution of digital medical engagement projects specifically for clinical trial recruitment. This includes understanding target audiences, identifying barriers to participation, and creating omnichannel communication plans.
- Create Engaging Content: Work with medical information teams to develop compelling, compliant scientific content tailored for digital distribution to support clinical trial awareness.
- Manage Digital Channels: Oversee the development and execution of digital communication channels, ensuring they integrate effectively with other medical channels like field teams and congresses, to deliver information about clinical trials.
- Analyze Data and Drive Improvement: Define and report on digital medical metrics related to clinical trial recruitment, using insights to continuously improve the customer experience and standardize processes across therapeutic areas.
- Foster Innovation: Identify and implement new digital medical engagement innovations from within and outside the pharmaceutical industry to benefit the pharmaceutical company's customers and teams in the context of clinical trials.
- Ensure Compliance: Uphold high standards of compliance, ethics, and safety in all digital medical communications, putting patients at the center of all actions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare communications, digital marketing, and healthcare.
- Advanced Degree (Master's or higher) in a technology-related field, MBA, Pharm D, PhD, or MD.
- Experience in Clinical Trial Recruitment directing omnichannel programs.
- Experience in Medical Affairs, CRO or similar healthcare functions is preferred.
- Strong preference for experience in the Pharmaceutical / Biotech industry.
- Strong preference to US clinical trial recruitment experience.
- Proven experience leading large cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Experience in multiple therapeutic areas, with Oncology preferred.
