Position Overview

Calian is currently looking for an Intermediate life cycle management specialist for a future project to support Department of National Defense’s Director Aerospace Equipment Program Management (Fighters and Trainers). Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of test, verification and validation procedures in association with Engineering Test Establishment organizations;
  • At the request of the TA, liaise and act as a point of contact for the users and field managers of the equipment, and other LCMS and materiel managers that manage shared or integrated equipment;
  • Enter, verify and review materiel data in the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) and the Logistics Management Planning Tool (LMPT);
  • Develop and maintain airworthiness, technical and other support documentation in the Records Data Information Management System (RDIMS).
  • Assist the TA to ensure that all LCMS activities are carried out in compliance with CTAT regulations and procedures;
  • Provide recommendations, maintain demilitarization codes and develop associated procedures as required;
  • Review equipment entitlements, scales of issue and initiate requirements for change;
  • Monitor and coordinate deliveries of materiel to equipment users in the field, (i.e., bases, wings, units, squadrons and schools);
  • Ensure compliance with technical airworthiness guidelines and provide technical advice to assist the TA in conducting risk assessments in support of technical investigations;
  • Participate in and respond to airworthiness and quality system audits as required by the TA;
  • Provide technical advice in the development and implementation of quality systems and technical airworthiness processes when requested by the TA;
  • Verify, review and confirm integrated logistics support arrangements to support the technical requirements of the equipment being managed;
  • Perform life cycle costing and options analysis as directed by the TA to optimize the efficiency of the equipment;
  • Provide recommendations to reduce or mitigate hazardous material and negative environmental impacts;
  • Attend meetings at test establishments, DND and commercial facilities;
  • Assist the TA in the development of corrective action plans resulting from airworthiness audits and/or flight safety investigations;
  • Become familiar with the objectives of the Sustainment Business Case Analysis (SBCA), assisting the TA as required with inputs on SCBA processes; and
  • LCMS must participate as advisory members to the following stakeholders:


  • TAs;
  • Procurement and Supply Managers;
  • Requirements Officers;
  • Major Crown Project Offices;
  • Interrelated Weapons System or Equipment Project Managers;
  • Collateral LCMSs and Departments;
  • Life Cycle Quality Managers and National Defence Quality Assurance Representatives;

Qualifications

  • Must have a High School diploma or higher level of education
  • A valid provincial driver’s license (Class G or equivalent as a minimum)
  • 2-5 years of experience performing life cycle management services in an Aviation Life Support Equipment/ Search and Rescue (SAR) environment.
  • 3 years of experience working in the Search and Rescue environment or Equivalent, including direct support of SAR technicians through the packing of SAR Personnel and cargo chutes

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing and mentoring product teams.
  • Proven success leading member-facing products, preferably in technology startups, SMEs, or medium-sized companies.
  • The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building and scaling consumer-facing technology products in startup or high-growth environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute product strategy in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments.
  • Strong data literacy with experience using qualitative and quantitative insights to drive product decisions and business forecasts.
  • Expertise in agile methodologies and lean product development practices.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills; able to work closely with engineering, design, marketing,health care experts, and operations teams.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, comfortable presenting to executive leadership and partners.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding user experiences.
  • Experience with market research and competitive analysis to inform product direction.

Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution.

As we continue to grow our portfolio targeting Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) and Government entities, we are seeking a driven Product Manager to support the execution of strategic cyber product initiatives, reporting directly to the Product Strategist.

Role Overview:
The Director, Product Manager will assist in the development and delivery of cybersecurity products tailored to SMB and government markets. You will help manage the product lifecycle, support go-to-market execution and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders-including channel and alliance partners-to support revenue and adoption goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the execution of product strategy and roadmaps for SMB and government cybersecurity offerings.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor insights across target segments.
• Gather and analyze feedback from users, partners, and internal stakeholders to inform product development.
• Assist in drafting and managing product requirements, user stories, and testing criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure successful feature delivery and adoption.
• Track product KPIs and prepare performance reports to inform iterative improvements.
• Contribute to go-to-market planning and execution, including training, documentation, and sales enablement.
• Support efforts with channel and alliance partners to drive adoption, maximize reach, and contribute to revenue targets.
• Maintain awareness of cybersecurity trends, compliance frameworks, and user pain points in both SMB and government sectors.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Experience in product management, business analysis, or a related role in tech or cybersecurity, preferably in the SMB or Government segments.
• Experience working with or supporting channel and alliance partners in achieving business outcomes.
• Strong interest or foundational knowledge in cybersecurity technologies and services.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
