We're hiring a skilled Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to support production during the busy summer season-with strong potential for a long-term role for the right fit. What You'll Do: Use a heavy-duty, foot-pedal operated industrial sewing machine to stitch together large fabric panels for custom awnings and canopies Follow detailed work orders and verbal instructions to ensure every product is made to spec Perform quality checks on your work to meet the company's high production standards Keep your workspace tidy and assist with other light production tasks when needed What You Bring: At least 1 year of experience operating an industrial sewing machine Confidence handling large fabric pieces and precision sewing for custom projects Ability to read and follow work instructions independently A strong eye for detail and commitment to delivering quality craftsmanship Comfortable sitting or standing for long periods Schedule: First day: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Regular schedule: Mon-Thurs: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Friday: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM Pay: $21.00 per hour + 4% vacation pay- paid weekly via direct deposit Location: Markham - Near Rodick Rd Riviera Dr Why Apply? About the Role

We are hiring production workers to join our client’s assembly line team , specializing in assembling car armrests . This role does not involve mechanical work or machinery operation — it is strictly assembly line production . Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced, repetitive environment with standing required for the duration of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and handle small car parts (armrests).

• Apply labels and rotate parts as needed.

• Perform quality checks to ensure standards are met.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Follow safety procedures at all times.

• Complete assigned tasks within shift timelines.

• Stand for long periods and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous assembly line experience is needed.

• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and standing for full shifts.

• Ability to work quickly and accurately.

• Minimal lifting (up to 10 lbs).

• Must be punctual with reliable attendance.

• Steel-toed safety shoes and blue pants required.

• English required; Chinese language skills are an asset.

Compensation & Shifts

• Pay: $19.20/hour + shift premiums

  • Afternoon (Shift B): 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM → $.20/hr premium

  • Night (Shift C): 12:00 AM – 7:00/8:00 AM → $0.2 /hr premium

  • (Shift length may vary between 6–7 hours depending on production demand)
