**What you'll bring to WSP:**
+ Post-Graduate in Engineering;
+ P.Eng. or P.Tech. designation;
+ At least 10 to 15 years of previous experience in an EPCM environment in the energy industry with 7-10 years direct project engineering experience;
+ At least 2 years experience as a Project Lead dealing directly with clients and other project stakeholders;
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, act as main contact with the client;
+ Experience directly dealing with clients coordinating meetings, creating project status reports and dealing with different groups, stakeholders and disciplines;
+ Proven ability to produce high quality work while facing competing priorities and strict deadlines;
+ Proven independent project leader;
+ Ability to prioritize activities, adapt to change, and stay focused in a dynamic environment;

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to join our Transmission group supporting a major Transmission Line project in Northwestern Ontario.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this position will support the construction of 190km of a new double-circuit 230 kilovolt transmission line and 170km of a new single-circuit 230 kilovolt transmission line between Shuniah, Atikokan and Dryden, ON to help meet the current and future energy needs of northwest Ontario while protecting and preserving the environment. The position will focus on core project management office work (commercial tracking, budget, reporting, document management, work with in house engineering contractor and procurement) and systems, process and technical items and less focused on operations. This is a growth opportunity to take on a more senior position on our next project.

Please note : this is a site based position in Northwestern Ontario working a 20 days-on / 8 days-off rotation. Travel from any major Canadian airport and site accommodations are provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Construction operations, including support of field teams with logistics, communication, scheduling, and safety & environmental compliance
  • Project planning and scheduling (develop and maintain project schedules, reports, and tracking)
  • Manage contracts and oversee change management processes to ensure compliance and alignment with project requirements
  • Monitor and control project costs, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, ensuring proper version control and accessibility
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to strengthen relations with client
  • Ensure that all project resources are always working safely

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary education in a related field (Engineering, Construction Management, etc.)
  • 3 years of project management experience in Linear Construction projects
  • Proven transmission, distribution or pipeline infrastructure experience (familiarity with transmission line scopes: clearing, access, foundations, towers, wireworks)
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Excel, Word, MS Project)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated utility construction industry experience (projects $100M or greater)
  • Strong preference for previous transmission & distribution experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
  • Experience working with indigenous stakeholder
  • Experience working in unionized environment

Position Summary:

The Logistics Program Manager is responsible for managing logistics between sales and manufacturing, working across teams to forecast activity and troubleshoot exceptions. This role serves as the on-field logistics representative for North America residential energy storage product logistics operations and is key to the stable output of materials and accurate control of inventory. This is a dynamic role with different sets of challenges daily as the factory ramps up output.


As a Logistics Program Manager, you will:


  • Research, create, and distribute daily short term and bi-weekly long-term forecasts of outbound shipments to logistics partners so providers can plan transportation and inbound capacity
  • Source warehousing options for Canada, US & Mexico to ensure affordable storage & local stock
  • Work with the Sales Operation Manager to track material in various stages between manufacturing and sales. Analyze and report the status of inventory volumes daily
  • Map logistics process flow and highlight areas for improvement; analyze where software solutions could be applied to create more efficient process flow
  • Develop and implement shipping programs from the factory site to local warehouse as well as direct to customer
  • Work closely with the internal Sales Operations and Finance team to ensure all transactions are completed properly, also look for process improvement internally
  • Work with the NA Sales team to coordinate direct shipping to customers where necessary, to provide insight into manufacturing logistics requirements and shipping options, and to distribute lead times to site when needed
  • Work closely with 4PL onsite personnel to ensure material is shipped in a timely manner.
  • Provide reporting between the 4PL and internal teams
  • Research and connect with logistics providers in the North American region; assess competitiveness of rates and service and complete new vendor onboarding steps
  • Work with logistics vendors to create solutions for moving goods efficiently from warehouse/ China to Customer
  • Support any required logistics SAP transactions regarding transfer of goods between our factory and our sales entity
  • Track and process inbound air and sea shipments; execute transactions in SAP accurately
  • Develop logistics document control standards and maintain clean logistics data in shared drives



Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years managing complex warehouse & inventory operations
  • 2+ years international ocean or air freight + domestic LTL/FTL ground shipping
  • 1+ year sourcing, selecting & managing domestic carriers with competitive pricing
  • Strong vendor & partner skills with the ability to manage indirectly
  • Previous exposure tracking WIP Inventory through various stages of manufacturing/assembly
  • Experience interpreting complex contracts and forecasting associated shipping timelines
  • Solid PC knowledge, including ERP systems, CRMs, and expert Excel/data analysis skills
  • Prior experience using SAP to track sales orders, inventory & deliveries
  • Able to work independently, understand priorities and communicate effectively

Compensation & Benefits

Job Description

Our retail client is seeking a Program Manager to join their team. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for creating and executing omni-channel content marketing programs, ensuring a consistent and optimized customer journey across all touchpoints. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams, including eCommerce, digital marketing, strategic marketing, brand marketing, print marketing, in-store marketing, and promotional programs. You will work to develop high-performing content with a ‘create once, publish everywhere’ philosophy, translating marketing objectives into creative, inspiring content that focuses on storytelling.


This is a 12 month contract, which will be mainly remote, with possible visits to our client's office, or to their stores in Toronto.


Responsibilities

  • Translate marketing objectives into creative and inspiring omni-channel content that focuses on customer storytelling.
  • Collaborate with various teams to find innovative ways to incorporate content across all channels and ensure a consistent customer journey.
  • Establish and manage project timelines and deliverables, and provide stakeholders with project status updates.
  • Measure creative results through data, provide insights, and present reports to executives for larger campaigns.
  • Execute strategies from conception to market, leveraging creative and production teams to launch content for all marketing and digital channels (paid and organic).
  • Manage requests from internal clients, evaluate requirements, and identify content opportunities based on objectives.
  • Lead and chair meetings to present creative work, discuss feedback, advocate for the creative, build consensus, and communicate results to the project team.
  • Collaborate closely with content producers on project requirements and find creative solutions for original video and photography.


Requirements

  • University degree in business/commerce, marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in account management or creative project management, preferably in an agency or a creative team.
  • Experience managing programs for both digital and traditional marketing, with an understanding of paid media, best practices, and creative execution.
  • Proven track record of success leading small and large creative programs across all media channels.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, PM Tools, and Workflow systems.
  • Experience with Wrike is a plus.
  • Experience working in advertising agencies as an account or production manager is a bonus.

The proposed resource must meet or exceed the following education and certification requirements:


• University Degree in either Business Administration or Information Technology

OR

• An equivalent combination of a College diploma (related to Business Administration and/or IT) and experience may also be considered.


Five years of experience as a project manager planning and leading IT system-related projects through full project lifecycles using adaptive (agile) and predictive (waterfall) modes.

Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English.


The Proponent should provide evidence of fulfilling a similar role delivering the full project lifecycle for one (1) IT transformational project.


For the referenced project, the response should include as a minimum:

  • Name of client organization.
  • Name, title, and telephone number of client contact.
  • Description of the project, including brief scope, beginning and end dates of the project.
  • Description of the Proponent’s responsibilities on the project. Description should include details such as (but not limited to):
  • Delivery approach or methodology (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, SCRUM, DevOps, etc.)
  • Project Management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Clarity), best practices and techniques employed (e.g., WBS, KanBan, Risk Management, OCM, etc.)
  • Entities and units engaged (e.g., Stakeholders, IT Networking & Infrastructure, Quality Assurance, Development, Service Desk, Executive Leadership, etc.). Provide insight into how they were engaged.
  • Deliverables the proponent produced in terms of project management and delivery documentation.
  • Greatest challenges faced by the Proponent on the project and how those challenges were addressed.


The Proponent should ensure that clear details are provided to avoid losing points.

Experience working with cross functional business and technical teams that include a mix of in-house and external resources and stakeholders.

Demonstrated expertise in effective interactive communication and presentations, specifically with management/senior-level stakeholders.

Experience leading or delivering project support for initiatives related to property appraisal, property mapping or property tax policy.

Familiarity working with project portfolio management software (e.g., Broadcom Clarity), software lifecycle applications (e.g., Azure DevOps), and incident management tools (e.g. Remedy).

Current Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), PRINCE2 designation or other industry-recognized project management accreditation.

Experience working in or for the public sector in Canada.
